Can you find a contact email address on the site? If so, start there and ask them to remove your pics as you've not given permission for them to be republished and therefore they are in breach of copyright law.

In the event of no response, you can find out who hosts their website and send them a DMCA takedown notice. If you google "dmca takedown" you'll get templates for emails and how to find out where to send them.

Their site suggests that because they are using images available on the public domain they are allowed to use them. Is that legally allowable?

Nope they are using the pictures without permission - public domain doesn't mean that!

LOL, no.
That's a bit like saying "I saw your phone lying on the table so it's allowed for me to just take it."

To put an image in the public domain, you need to formally relinquish copyright over it, or it has to be over 75 years old (50 years old in some countries) or created before 1925. I'm guessing you're not that old  ;D

I've merged this here Issy because there is advice on both Escort Advisor and Google, but to get your number removed from Google's search results you need to contact Google as it will still show for a while even if EA take it down.

Another thing to do if they have copied any of your three main AW pictures is change them on AW and then at least they won't dump your profile page for the pictures being elsewhere.

I had the bad idea of registering when I found the website escort-advisor.com on google. As soon as I registered my e-mail they copied a photo of one of my ads without my consent, I was busy and had not seen it. I receive the call of one ARIEL tel +34695313*** claiming why I had not completed the profile, telling him that I was busy that I would see it in detail tells me that he can do it and that advertising costs € 200 per month. It makes me laugh that a website that nobody knows wants to charge so much, I tell him not to touch anything that he insists on it. Finally when I logged again and I decided to do not want to move on, I asked to delete my profile and the webmaster (Ariel) refuses to do it and sent me a link with a form online to delete my profile he asked me to attach a copy of my ID and my real personal data. I demanded to delete everything, that is illegal to request private data ( when he didn't ask for it to the creation of the account) and the result was that he blocked me and now I will have to go to a lawyer to make the claim on legal way.

Girls, this webmaster don't play polite. YOU DON'T PROVIDE YOUR E-MAIL AND PHONE NUMBER to create an account there, they take it and get your photos, and who knows what they do with private data. He is an abusive and dangerous person.

Hi girls hope you’re all staying safe.

This review site escortrankings dot co dot uk has stolen my pictures and created a profile of mine on their website without my consent! I have asked them to remove my profile and that I’m no longer in the business yet they’re not removing my profile!

They don’t legally have the right to post me in their website or use my personal pictures! Any advise on what I can do? I searched for their webmaster on Whois and couldn’t get their details.... anyone else I can contact? I’m willing to take legal action if I need to! I’m retiring from the escort business and don’t want my pictures anywhere online.

Thanks for your  help.

There's a link to a contact form and an email address right at the bottom of the page if you scroll down LotN - have you tried either or both?

How did you find the page - I want to look and see if I'm on there but it's such a mess I don't know where to start? I see we have yet another who can't spell 'discreet'.

EDIT: found it with an (old) postcode search - the contact form doesn't work without an account, so have emailed.

I trawled through my area listings and so far am not on there.  What I did find was a large number of fake profiles.  Many different ones but using the same photos with a different name for each one.  It is a load of rubbish.

Good luck contacting them and getting a reply/result if one is needed.

@amy and @justine

They’re claiming they don’t delete any pictures or any posts and only can hide the profile from public view! How can they refuse to delete pictures that they legally do not own or are not the people on the picture ? Anyone can recommend a lawyer to contact for such matters? If they created a profile they should have an option to delete what kind of statement is that? I want my profile deleted not hidden and still be available in their system..

As if they don’t have enough girls on their page why would they refuse to remove someone that doesn’t want to be there? Let alone someone that’s no longer in the industry?? They have now stopped replying to my inquiries! I would like to take legal action and have no problem paying for it.

They have made one for me too, I've got 5 reviews on there from people I've never met. I emailed them asking them to remove it and got this reply -

Remove my details from site
Hi Brooke,

Thank you for reaching out.  We are a review site and anyone can put up a profile to review just as they do on Trip advisor and/or Google Reviews.  Therefore, we are legally protected by the Safe Harbor Act. However, with that being said, we strongly encourage you to claim your profile, this way you can take control and verify the data being presented.  If you do choose to take this route, your account will be secured and a verified badge would be presented on your profile page, and of course it is all 100% free of charge because we are merely just a review site.

Unfortunately we do not delete any post or profiles because deleting profiles does not solve the issue. What ends up happening is that someone else can add your profile again and we will wind up in an endless loop of deleting while others are reposting.

Its way more beneficial to take control and list your accurate rates and availability as you wish.

Looking forward to your reply

Best
Daniel & the ER Team

I replied telling them to remove my photos and phone number and they don't have permission to use them, they didn't respond and the profile is still there 1 year later.

If there’s away of contacting their webmaster or hosting company and report the issue or legally suing them for misuse of ownership or writing a whole bunch of fake reviews mentioning that the girl doesn’t exist etc and that those profiles and pictures are fake etc.

He's a bullshyte merchant giving you two fingers for the fun of it.
Any reasonable webmaster wouldn't want the negative exposure, he's probably getting a woody messing with you. This guy looks like he's relishing the attention, is a repeat offender and won't comply easily.

I throw in a few ways to complain. If the webmaster's a dick he can ignore or refuse but don't let that put you off. Usually vanilla webmasters don't want investigation, but he's an adult escort directory hosted in the USA which could be dicey as Backpage, Eros and Craigs List have found.

Just have a nose round for these phrases on the web for 'how to do' guides with free templates pretty easy to do
1. Cease and Desist letter- to him

2. DMCA Takedown Notice- to his website host

3. Complain to 'Google Search' who may block the page from being seen- check out- 'Google Legal Removal Requests'

4. IRS- Two things in life are certain 'death and taxes' the US Internal Revenue Service want their dollah. As Mr Al Capone and sweet old lady, Martha Stewart found out. They can investigate the shtye out of you backdated many years. USA Adult escort directories may be low hanging fruit for them. Who'd risk an audit for the sake of some stranger's tits and ass photos? Browse the IRS site for creative inspiration for replies to copyright bandits. Possibly a last resort in terms of threats.

5. FBI- The men in black closed Backpage, you can see their funky badge 'sealing' the site if you have a peek. The FBI raided Eros website twice removing their computers and scared off other USA escort directories. Browse their website for inspiration as USA hosted prostitution directories are in a tricky position there.

The FBI won't be interested in stolen ho pics, but may be curious if the content implies underage stuff or if the webmaster's involved in pimping, money laundering etc He'd be off his nut to ignore a 'threat' of FBI involvement as they can do stuff like kill his website or freeze his bank account if he's a dodgy geezer. It wouldn't be a pleasant thought for most webmasters. A browse of the FBI site may help you to get creative with your reply to Mr Wrankings. I'd say this is a last resort too.

With British adult webmasters I've used a single Cease and Desist letter which is a warning to sue. I throw in a nice sweetner...a daily fee of £100-£500 per photo per day. Photographers do this all the time. I tell him he must respond and confirm removal.  I give a 3-7 days deadline. One webmaster removed the images in 10 minutes and rung to apologise! But Mr Escort Wanking seems to get off on confrontation so maybe a mix of techniques may be needed. :)

Love to hear if you get any joy!
