first overnight booking

Ok so i took my first over night booking for during the week in london, and ive done all the checks and it all seems above board but i was wondering does anyone have any advice for me??? like any tips, anything really :)

It's always worth a look though as members come and go but there's still a lot of good advice and valuable info sitting about from way back when. Even from me :D

Ok well its booked for monday night, he requested i get the train and he meet me at the platform at 9:30pm so i guess thats kool :) He also offered me ?400 over my actual fee o.O ill still be bricking it on the train though o.O

Panda, please don't meet him on the train station platform - quite apart from the fact that people who offer you excessive amounts of money are normally timewasters, you need to make sure he is in his room wherever he is supposed to be so your security knows exactly where you are and you can sort your money out straight away. I don't know what 'o.o' means, so I can't help there, but if you've read the other threads about overnights you should know all the good reasons for meeting at the agreed venue and NEVER in a public place.

It jumped out at me too when I read about the train station and then the 'extra money' ...............................

This guy screams 'timewaster'  and the biggest con is meeting at the station ............ thats not him being a gentleman, thats him being cunning.  As soon as he knows you are on the train he will turn off his phone.

I know its underhand but could you not test the waters and say you have someone driving you up to him and no need to meet at the station and see what he comes back with.

And don't even consider leaving home until you have spoken to him WHILE HE IS IN HIS ROOM.

If this doesnt happen then he is as we suspect ................ a timewaster .................... and a very obvious one at that.  Sorry.

The situ also leaves you 'in the middle of nowhere' with no way of getting home at all hours of the night.  Please be very very careful.

Oh gosh, this all reminds me of the East Croydon man!! He meets you at the station, takes you to "somewhere" in possibly-maybe Wandsworth, doesn't pay, and leaves you to find your way home in the dark....let me get the link...

Yeah, brought that story to mind for me too, but couldnt remember the facts.  There is also the one who claims to 'work' in a hotel.

I'm on the way out to babysit but if I can find the thread before I go I will put it here, I'm sure it was under the warnings section though if someone else has the time to look.  I hate to think of someone getting duped.  These guys are scum.

im reading that link in a second but i told him that i dont go by trains and would need a address for my own security and he said he will give me a call in a few mins to give me it, dont worry i wouldnt put myself in any danger (im not that silly)
