Very confused.. Legal stuffs??
« on: 01 July 2014, 11:19:27 pm »
Hello all

So I have been escorting for around a year now, I'm aware of escorting is legal here, but after reading some information on the main site and posts here still very confused about few things..

So if your escorting and paying tax, then you are legal right? Some posts saying if touring in a hotel best be very careful and don't want to be suspected by the staffs? If escorting is fine why should they worry?

And some posts saying worry about neighbours noticing.. again if you are working alone.. why bother??

Any information or advice would be helpful, thanks girls in advance :)

The problem is even though it is legal it is also frowned upon by a large part of society.

With hotels I would say it's more to do with causing a nuisance, like having a constant stream of men knocking on your door or having very loud sex, although there are hotels that don't although it at all. I'm sure someone else will have a bit more details on the exact legalities of it.

With neighbours again its to do with how we are viewed by society, they don't want us near their partners incase we jump them and parents definitely don't want us on their doorstep.

Hotels don't like you using them as you are "lowering the tone of their hotel" for a start and bringing "strange people" into their hotel and they don't want these people mixing with their clientele.

Neighbours just don't want prossies working near their homes for same reason as above and apartment rentals may say you can't use apt for prossying or similar in lease and kick you out.

Just a couple. Others can give you more.

Ok so I understand why hotels don't want WGs working in their room.. but still don't quite get the things about neighbours if you are working alone and is a tenant in the place.. what can they do?? If the neighbours report to the council or wherever, then what? Can they kick you out just because you are escorting??

If they know you're working there, then it is very likely that someone else is... and that runs the hotel into considering the brothel laws.

Then there are the reputation issues - would you want your hotel to be known as 'the one with the whores'? Lots of people, including many clients, would be put off from staying there. Yes, there are some places that clearly don't mind, but it's a risk not everyone is prepared to take.

If they don't approve - and many will not, for a variety of reasons - they can make your life very difficult. Would your clients mind being photographed as they approach the door, for example? It's happened.

Wherever you are working, don't annoy the neighbours. Especially if your tenancy agreement has a 'morals' or a 'no business' clause or, more usually, both.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Neighbours can make your life a misery until you decide to leave and even out you to the entire area as a pprostitute,  making it difficult if you have a regular job, a partner or kids.

They have also been knowing to harass client's too.

Most properties have rules about running businesses from the property.

There is also the avenue "we only see our clients for a specific period of time" and don't really know them that well, if at all.  They could easily be an axe murderer or a child molester.  Would you want one visiting next door to you if you had small children around. ::). I wouldn't!

To be fair LL, you could say that about anybody going to anybody's house including the postman. I have no idea what any of my neighbours friends and family members do in their free time :).

That depends on whether anybody else ever works from that building, including you. If they do, brothel.

That is true amy but we are talking about prossying here and that is why I used this as an example.  What others do is none of my business, so long as they are not bringing it to my door.
