how else I could get travel expenses covered in advance???

The last time I traveled with a client, we'd had several meetings beforehand and on one of them he gave me cash to book my flights with. I'm not sure if there's any other 100% secure way to do it? Paypal gets mixed reviews from a lot of sources so I'd rather avoid it, personally. But it might work for others. :)

maybe a little bit out of topic but what happens when a client transfers some travel fee and so from his paypal to my paypal account as a gift? haven't done it yet but am planing to propose these days to one potential...hmmmm
I see no other way that we both keep our private data (of course, I am concerned with mine not his).  how else I could get travel expenses covered in advance???

As i have discovered to my expense, there is no seller protection, apart from within a very small set of rules, so he transfers the money, gets what he wants, decides he wants his money back, pops in a dispute, your stuffed, as the seller in that instance you have no recourse.

I haven't tried this myself, but these prepay debit cards, some you can top up with paypoint or at the post office, I was just wondering for the top up, is it like a mobile phone, where your given a code to call and top up? if so, is it worth getting one of those? Then all client has to do is find a paypoint terminal, or the post office, pop x amount on and give you the code number

If you ever decide to use Paypal, tell the client to send the money as personal payment or gift. I have two Paypal accounts and made an experiment by transferring a small amount from one to the other and trying to claim it back. I was redirected to a page saying that it was not possible to recall payments of this type. I would personally not use Paypal for receiving large payments, but as a means of taking a small deposit it can be convenient easy. Funds can now be withdrawn immediately from my experience,

I am continuing the previous message, as it seems that my smartphone has a limit of characters it allows me to type and has cut off the end of my previous message. So... Paypal funds can now be withdrawn immediately from my ebay selling experience, but a while ago I used to have to wait 21 days. But this might be related to my having got my account "verified" with them. Also, I think waiting periods might not apply to funds coming from payments of the personal/gift types.

Anyway Paypal ALWAYS reveals yo

Paypal ALWAYS reveals your name to those you have trsnsactions with, and possibly your address. So unless you don't mind clients knowing these or are comfortable with wring fake information in your Paypal account, it's not a good option for taking escort payments.

Sorry for the mess with the three messages one after the other, now that I see it, I give up trying to write long posts from the phone.

I read that the Inland Revenue have been cracking down on people trading on Ebay and not declaring profits so I guess any significant or regular payments made through Paypal might end up drawing attention to you if they weren't declared.  Just another thought to factor in...

360 vouchers work just fine, the only slight difficulty might be to persuading clients to use then, as many have never heard of them and as with every new thing, they meet it with a bit of caution at first. The cashpoint withdrawal fee from the splashPlasric credit card (the one I use) is also small enough some ?2.5 for ?50 if I remember well.

The other huge problem with PayPal is that if they think the money is linked to sex work, they'll close the account and keep at least some of it for themselves.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Yeah I was going to say this Paypal are dead against there services being used for adult services.

I rely on my Paypal account so much no booking is worth the risk.

there are more and more options to take money online so look at sites offering commercial services.  A guy I do business with (non adult related) has starting using a great system where he sends me a web link and its just a payment page. I put in my details, the amount myself and he's paid! I'm not sure of the fees/details involved but there are more options to be considered.

Yep.
Here is a post on SAAFE
with stuff copied from my website:
http://www.saafe.info/main/index.php?topic=4174.msg37358;topicseen#msg37358*

With this you get immediate verification of money transferred to your card, and the amount.
{It flashes up the voucher amount being credited to your card}
though it takes 24 hours before said amount appears as a credit.
It works and is safe.

Great for deposits.

Paypal has two huge  downsides:
Revealing your real name and address
Chargeback
Don't touch it

* forget the ccbill option mentioned in this post:
Individual Transaction fees
Commission
& monthly merchant fees
Its fine for your porn site but no use for escort deposits
