Howdy gals,
I wonder if I'm doing myself a disservice and your feedback is appreciated. I also have a few questions about the job in general.
* When a client enters I always offer a drink - others just usher him straight to the bedroom
* I'm keen to give them their full time and as many orgasms as they can manage - others offer a one-shot only and try to get them to cum asap
* I don't mind over-running on occasion, 5 or 10 minutes (then dressing or a shower on top)
* I refuse to photoshop. I don't want to lie and think I look good - my competition love it, making themselves flawless (even unrecognisable)
Questions in general:
1. Considering every man is different, how come the time wasters act the same? They want to show their photo, they want to talk endlessly on the phone, they say they're 6' 4" with 9 inches, they're not tech-savvy enough to use the AW booking form despite being able to create an AW profile.
2. I will not do an outcall to a house, only to a hotel, as I think the former is way too dangerous and unknown an environment - am I being over-cautious?
3. I don't know if OWO is a) sensible or b) a money-killer. Many STDs, including herpes, can be transmitted even if no obvious signs are on show - thus a visual check alone is not 100% and as most guys want OWO I don't know if insisting on OW will kill business. A couple have declined oral when I've insisted, a couple have been fine so it's 50/50 but that may change for the worse if my profile states OW at all times. Thoughts?
4. Should you answer the phone when with a client (excusing yourself, first) or is it really bad form?
-
I think it's nice to be thoughtful and considerate during bookings but do not put yourself out, from my experience clients don't particularly appreciate it, won't treat you any better and can start to take liberties.
It also comes across as if you're putting down other escorts who work differently to you? I don't think there's anything wrong with retouching or setting realistic cum limits.
To answer your questions:
I've found that timewasters purposely avoid giving definitive information and will evade progressing the conversation for as long as you'll allow them to in the hopes you'll continue talking and may even warm to them and become friends.
A lot of escorts don't go to private residences for that exact reason, I personally do but for outcalls I require proof of location (hotel confirmation or copy of a bill) so that I know their name, they're actually there and should something happen to me that person can be found. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable with though.
Do you offer RO? A lot of clients in the UK seem to believe OWO is standard and I suppose a lot of escorts offer it for this reason, you may miss out on bookings but do you care to see men that don't care to respect your limits? Some escorts don't offer it and seem to get as many clients as they want/need.
I read somewhere that oral carries a lower risk and I've never had any issues, I do also get regularly tested with oral, vaginal and anal swabs.
I don't answer my work phone during bookings and have my personal phone on do not disturb with a couple exceptions, most people know that I'm working so if they ring it's because they need to speak to me and depending on who it is (parents, friends in continually precarious situations) I'll excuse myself and keep the conversation brief.

My phones (work and personal) are in another room during bookings. Always. If I hear a faint ring or text alert I ignore it.
For as long as I have worked I have offered oral with or without and the number of men who ask for OW I can count on one hand. Never had a single second of scare healthwise but I know it is still a game of chance.
-
The first set of points, forget about them. How others work is none of your concern and it's better to use your energy on the things can control and promoting what you offer and do well :).
I don't visit private residences, nor do I offer OWO (or RO) and I do fine - the punters who don't book because they want unprotected oral are quickly replaced by those who ONLY book people who don't offer it. Punters will know if you're doing a service you're not comfortable with and it will show, just as it will if you're happy and relaxed! It does depend how much you want to do outcalls, I suppose - I'm not bothered and I do maybe half a dozen a year tops. So far this year I have done four :D
I wouldn't answer my phone in front of a punter; I've very occasionally done it if I've run over a bit and they're on the way out, but only to ask them to call back in a couple of minutes. I've answered the odd text whilst they're in the shower.
Timewasters don't deserve the headspace you're giving them. That said, not using or wanting to use the AS booking form doesn't automatically make anybody a timewaster (or I would be one ;D).
-
The only time I'd pick up my phone during a booking would be to perhaps reply to a text, and only if they were in the bathroom with the door shut. I wouldn't want them to see me do it and I wouldn't touch my phone during my time with them.
The only edits I make to my pics is to watermark and crop them, oh and delete the 90% of them that I look rubbish in...
-
I only do out-calls to hotels, too, at least for new clients. If I'd seen someone before and they struck me as OK I'd probably go to their house.
Personally I think it's very bad form to leave your phone on, let alone answer it, during a booking. I turn my off when the client arrives - which also means I've double-checked the start time.
I don't think you can make sweeping generalisations about how others work, or even know. I always offer a drink, clean them up and don't clock watch, but I don't let them take the piss either.
OW/OWO is a personal thing IMO. It is definitely higher risk to do OWO, especially if you also do CIM. It is a popular service, but then with the news of e.g. oral gonorrhoea some punters are becoming risk averse and going for OW. I think if you choose the right condom, do it well, and market yourself as the 'safe' option it should balance out with losing the OWO brigade.
-
I consider answering my phone during a booking to be poor form I may however use it when on the way out to contact my security buddy, or if over run by more than 15 or 20 minutes asking the person if I can call them back in a couple of minutes.
-
1. Because cunts of a feather flock together :D
2. I used to do residential outcalls but now I only do hotel unless it's someone I've met before.
3. I bloody hate doing OW - the thingy on the condom catches in my tonsils (especially since I do DT.) It's all about personal preference and your own risk assessment. Personally I'd rather enjoy my bookings and accept the minor risk of contracting contracting gonorrhea or chlamydia orally. BTW condoms don't necessarily protect against HSV and HPV since they are often not on the penis but the surrounding area.
4. I would never answer my phone during a booking unless we had over-run and the client was aware of that. Equally I consider it very rude if a client answers his phone during our time.
-
In response to the first part of your post; just do whatever you feel comfortable and happy doing, and stop worrying about what everyone else is doing. That's up to them, and really not your business or concern.
I also wont do outcalls to a private residence unless it was a very trusted and regular client. One scary and horrific experience and I don't care if I am being over cautious or not - it would make me too anxious now and then I would not give a good service.
I know ladies to who offer only OW and are busy, I know those who offer OWO and not busy... again just do what suits you best and makes you feel most comfortable.
I would never answer my phone during a booking, I think it looks really unprofessional and pretty rude (to me). I am on their time, and don't want them to feel they only have half my attention. If someone overstays I would answer - mostly to try and move them along a bit!
-
You really don't know what the others are doing. How do you know what they are doing, cos the punters tell you? Such a reliable source.
Photoshopping, again, this is down to the individual. Punters realise and if really bad they won't return.
1) Don't think about them. I take the piss out of them as much as I can, especially the phone ones. I keep them on the phone, they get nothing, and someone who doesn't realise they are pests will be left alone.
2)I only do outcalls. I have my systems in place.
3) Oral with and have flavoured lube just for this that isn't that bad.
4) No, I don't. How unprofessional. It would be like me being in a meeting with the bank manager or whatever and them taking personal calls. My phone is on silent from the moment I go in. At the end, I will use it whilst I am in the bathroom
-
I echo what everyone else is saying.

when I used to work I never offered them a drink unless it was a long booking then
I would say half way threw would you like a hot drink or some water I have friends
That get beer in and wine which I never did . When I worked from home I used to
Put expensive aftershave in there for them to use and nice posh soaps when they
Got taken I just used put some 1 pound spray and 1 pound male showe gel for them .
I always gave full time and never rushed there time .
My photos were selfies taken off my phone so not photo shopped but did have a couple
Of professional ones up too . I never once did owo when working and I still did pretty
Well in this industry I don’t feel like you have too you should only do what you feel
Comfortable doing and no I never answered the phone when in a booking x

Toiletries I put out were never used, drinks most decline and eventually went to waste. Alcohol which I don't drink the same, until one day someone wanted some and sneered at the beer make.
I offer tea, coffee, take fresh milk in (also something I don't drink), take it back if not drank. Also couple of cans fruit fizzy drink, and diet coke, tap water is fresh and seems to suit anyone who wants one.
Have given a can of cold drink to take away on hot days, not a clue if it's appreciated but seems a nice thing to do.
I now have just ordinary soap in bathroom, unscented shower gel that's it. Also learned to hide the mouthwash because clients would swig direct from the bottle, even when I placed disposable cups right next to it.

1. I have to say, most of my time wasters have never done that, just endlessly parade about on when they'll book while asking for freebies.
2. I've done outcall to homes quite a few times. I'd say only if you get the postcode/road in advance so you can scope it out.
3. As a scientist, OWO is insanely low risk for STIs. Sure you can get herpes, but 70% of the population has oral herpes (had a cold sore? You've got herpes), most of us get it by 5 years old orally. Then you can't ever get it again. HPV, actually leads to better outcomes of oral cancers. Chlamydia and gonorrhea, very rare. Syphilis, you should spot the rash/sore easy, contact with that transfers it.
That said, entirely your choice the risk you're willing to take. I opt for OWO because I've nearly choked on a condom doing deepthroat more than once.
4) never ever, ever answer the phone when with a client. At least in my opinion I never do, it just seems extremely distasteful.
As for the rest, I offer a shower and drink on arrival, and as per my profile offer multiple orgasms (but I pretty much only do long bookings, so it is rather expected).

Morning I have been in this game for 20 years and what I have learned is you do what is good for you.
* When a client enters I always offer a drink - others just usher him straight to the bedroom
I have a bottle of water or can of fizzy by the bed, but I am not a cafe and that's not why he has come to see me.
* I'm keen to give them their full time and as many orgasms as they can manage - others offer a one-shot only and try to get them to cum asap
I don't mind more than one pop but it has to be done by the end of the hour.
* I don't mind over-running on occasion, 5 or 10 minutes (then dressing or a shower on top)
Try not to over run. For your emotional and physical sake
* I refuse to photoshop. I don't want to lie and think I look good - my competition love it, making themselves flawless (even unrecognisable)
I also don't photoshop but I do blank my face and background.

Thanks to all.

Herpes is the one I'm worried about - that and hepatitis C. I was shocked to discover that herpes is infectious even when there are no symptoms, meaning visual inspections of a dick don't mean, well, dick! ;D

It's my concern if they're getting bookings, from guys who'd otherwise be interested in me, because they look so crazily good. Ditto for those lying about their services just to get clients through the door whilst I'm losing clients by honestly telling them I don't do the thing they're ringing for.
Sure you can get herpes, but 70% of the population has oral herpes (had a cold sore? You've got herpes), most of us get it by 5 years old orally. Then you can't ever get it again.
From what I know, people with oral and genital herpes can have repeated flare ups. I've never had a cold sore and don't want to start.

There's still nothing you can do about it and it's still not worth worrying about. Other people will always get business from punters who may or may not have booked you and that's the same for all of us including them.
What they won't get is repeat business - sooner or later the new punters will run out and whilst they can change all their ads and try starting again, having a pool of reliable regulars and beefing it out with new punters is a far easier way to go and will.earn you more in the long term even if it's just because you'll waste less of your time and money switching things aroumd trying to cover your tracks. And do you really want to be in a room with a pissed off punter who's been lied to about services?

There is a massive stigma around herpes, but most people will have it lying dormant (the estimates are that 90% of people have it). It was a scare tactic that started decades ago to whip people into a frenzy and to benefit the pharmaceutical company. If you google 'herpes stigma' you'll find a bunch of articles about it.

1. I've experienced a range of different time wasting behaviour, but the result is always the same.
2. It depends how you're doing your screening and what feels comfortable to you. Most things in this industry are a risk, but it's up to you how much you think it's worth it. People have been attacked in hotels and unfortunately, not all nutters are deterred by cameras.
3. Again, it's what works for you and what you're comfortable with. What works for me and 10 other escorts may not work for you. There is an option to only offer OWO at your discretion.
4. I wouldn't answer the phone whilst I'm with a client, I personally would find it quite rude if I was paying for someone's time.
By the way, I would like to point out that the clients going for the photoshopped girls may not have chosen you anyway. You won't be everyone's choice and that's ok. Other escorts will do their thing and you do yours.

Hi MV
I offer OW and don’t offer DT. Clients don’t seem at all arsed.
I always mention it on the phone during bookings to ensure it’s well understood. I have repeat clients who say it’s why they picked me. So far, these clients aren’t fussed about oral anyway (don’t know if that’s because it’s covered) unless it’s RO. RO is valued significantly greater than oral on them. Because of my ads I don’t attract clients who require DT as they’ve plenty DT specialists. So it’s all good and there are plenty of clients who want different services.
In my experience (very limited) offering OW doesn’t impact negatively on business.

+ 1 Georgie. I market as a soft vanilla experience with kinks catered for but everything protected and I have had clients say they come to me because of the 'cleanliness ' aspect. It's horses for courses. I know a lot of people will not want to see me because I don't do OWO but I pick up the guys who wouldn't see me otherwise.

Thread tidied. As has been hinted throughout the thread and posted many times before, criticising other sex workers because of the way they choose to work is not what we do here whether they're on the forum taking part or not.

Thanks for fixing the quote Amy :)
