Eros refusing to delete account
« on: 30 August 2024, 08:24:28 pm »
Hey girlies,

I have a question. I am looking to delete my Eros account and it seems like there is no option to delete it. The customer service advisor are refusing to delete the account and mentioned one should just stop logging in for 18 months and it would get deleted automatically which was not the case since I didn’t log in for that period of time. Also with them now being a Swiss based company they’re actually obligated to delete peoples data in accordance to European data protection laws but they seem to not follow these laws.

Is there anyone that has tried getting their details deleted from there and can advise?

If they are being complete arses about it, can you amend your profile removing pictures just deleting as much information as you can?
failing that remind them of the legalities and if they don’t comply threat to take it further. Is anything mentioned in their T & Cs

I have already deleted my pictures but they got my verification pictures and ID on their files from when you verify your account etc…they also require people to send some pics with their faces for verification and who knows if they keep them stored in their files somewhere… really nasty people! I would definitely not recommend anyone advertising there.

They are also arseholes when people try to get their ads approved and are known to have a terrible customer service.
But the least they can do is delete peoples details if requested so I don’t understand why they’re being so complicated and trying to keep data of people that don’t wanna advertise with them

Agree with you on all, since Eros got sold to a Swiss company it has become a total nightmare hence the reason I stopped using it (not that I was getting much business anyway). I believe they have like one person for customer service which is crazy considering they have thousands of profiles, any interaction with them takes weeks to solve. It just looks like an operation being run in someone’s basement, very unprofessional.
