Enquiry from client listed on NUM
« on: 24 March 2018, 08:03:59 am »
Hi all I?m just after a bit of advice.

I got an email enquiry on AW last weekend from a guy who wanted to book he followed my booking procedure and left a number and time to call when I rang he told me that he had been reported to NUM by a malicious escort and that he hadn?t actually done anything this rang a few warning bells so I said I would check and get back to him which I did. Now when I put in the number to check nothing came up however he did have about 5 aliases three of them were scored out leaving two live ones both seemingly good feedback! So I phoned him back to say I would take the booking and his phone went to voicemail I didn?t leave a messsge as I thought maybe he?s switched it off for a reason or it was a punter phone. Anyway I heard nothing from him then he rang again off a different number and when I put that in it came up with the warning, I also checked in here and there was s warning about him here too. It all seems to fit in he seemed really nice on the phone albeit a bit nervy but I know some of them are. But the warning was about him becoming a reg then attacking he?s still saying that it was malicious and the names in the report matched with his previous aliases so the question is would you see him or not I think I?m going to pass as my gut is saying no smoke without fire I just want to know what others would do. I?m in Manchester if it makes any difference.

Thanks in advance ladies

No! Nononono! Manchester or any other place - no! The whole point of the Ugly Mugs scheme is that it allows us to avoid nutters. When in doubt, avoid.

That?s just what I thought the worrying thing is when I asked him how he knew about the report he said another lady had informed him of it! Surprised

I think you'd be absolutely INSANE to take this booking.

I'm sure the poor girl who got attacked thought he sounded nice on the phone too when she took bookings from him!! I doubt she'd have seen him otherwise.
People like him pray on unfortunately naive people, hopefully believing the manipulative shit that comes out of his mouth in order to get what he wants.

Why would he have two numbers to contact escorts on aswell? Sounds like a lot of hassle to me, He's probably got two numbers as a way to get around people's procedures and warnings etc.

It works for people like that to pretend they're 'nice punters' and that they're victims when it comes to initially getting what they want.

AVOID like the plague.

Thank you both I totally agree with you I?m going to avoid. It is worrying though how he has new reviews on his new aw account obviously some ladies aren?t checking or he?s giving the other number. I?ve just checked and I can?t figure out which was the first number he gave which wasn?t on the NUM I?m kicking myself now though because I could have let NUM know and got it updated to save other ladies booking without the knowledge

No, but the OP can PM it. Please also remember that National Ugly Mugs reports are not to be made public, so we'll keep it as vague and general as possible on the board :).

I have seen someone who's number is in the UM database, at the time he provided so much information, paid the deposit in a traceable way and let's say his details were so identifiable that I was more or less 99% certain he would not do anything.

I was on guard but everything was fine, and I'd see him again.

If however there'd been other stuff such as a detailed warning, a report on here (or other forums) or negatives on AW then I would have probably avoided him. As it was I used my usual precautions.

That is interesting mirror there was a report on here too so I think I?ve made the right decision about not seeing him it?s just not worth the risk. It also makes sense about the aliases I?m not usually one for picking up on aliases but I?m glad I did this time

I learned quite early on about malicious  or misleading reports, upon delving deeper I found it was often the result of a fall out. I was once warned about someone who happened to be a long term regular, with whom I'd never had a problem. The warning was very different to my experience, he actually contacted me in a bit of a state about it. Upon further investigation it would seem they both got off on the wrong foot.

Given the person making the report used misleading ads, and stolen photos of decided who to believe. It wasn't the first time someone has tried putting me off sering someone genuine.

I decide based on all the evidence I can gather I also reported back to NUM to say the person on their database was fine with me, plus reasons for seeing him. They wouldn't give me any details of why he is on there, I searched and searched couldn't see anything which matched.

In your case you are quite right to decline, the evidence is he's dangerous.
