If it was a genuine excuse (which it wasn't) it just proves he's indiscreet and has no common sense anyway - so bullet dodged! Who would seriously put themselves in a position where their wife could see their punting phone - you wouldn't want to see anyone so dangerously incompetent 

Definitely an excuse. I've heard it all - 'sudden migraine,' 'need to pick up the kids from school suddenly,' 'ive had a car accident,' blah blah blah. I''d have more respect if they were honest about it.

I don’t think they should even need to give us an excuse as to why they can’t make it, I always say to them once they’re booked in that if they need to cancel then to please just drop me a text and cancel but I don’t need a reason, just to know will do me.  I have cancelled on clients before and I used to give excuses but now I just say that for whatever reason then I’m not in the mood to put on a happy face for an hour and that I don’t feel comfortable taking their money and doing a booking when I know I’m going to either be quiet and going in to myself or grumpy and snapping at everything they may say or ask.  I told one guy that I couldn’t be arssed (after he booked me) seeing him after all and he replied “well I just wanted a bit of fun” and I replied that that much was obvious and regardless of that fact then I still couldn’t be arssed and that I couldn’t even do my normal happy act and he asked “oh is that an act”, erm no hun it’s genuine that I get excited about shagging a man old enough to be my dad and with a beer belly! Deluded punters are the bane of my life!

I usually give them a couple of chances. If they cancel three times in a row they can forget it.

No shows are blocked altogether.
