I worked from my flat that was on 3 rd floor I had quiet a lot of neighbours . I don't think my neighbours figured out what was going on they were all young and worked long hours so no one noticed each other . It all depends on the flat and whether or not the neighbours have a lot of time on there hands . Xx

Depends where.  In central London you can easily get away with it.  When I town terrace I rarely saw my neighbours, and would have new neighbuors every year or so.  Most working people are so absorbed in their own life they wouldn't notice in some areas.

You may have to consider the thickness of the walls/floors/ceilings too!

I think you have to look at the sort of people in the area, usually flats are full of younger working professionals who are too involved in their own lives to even care to notice what their neighbours are doing... So you'd easily get away with it. And usually it's people who rent so nobody stays long enough to start to notice. Whereas for example, my Mum lives in a housing estate full of nosy older people or families with young children so everyones in most of the time. My Mum is one of those nosy ones, she knows everyone's business on the street. She would be one of those noticing if someone had a lot of people coming and going! ::)

I agree it's more about the type of people in the area. If there are a lot of older types they tend to be bored a lot of like nosing on what others are doing. I live in an apartment block but most of my neighbours are commuters so they leave early in the morning and come home late at night. Nobody has a clue what I do from what I can tell and I rarely ever see them just the occasional nod in passing but everybody just seems to keep to themselves.

In my opinion, it boils down to

You may have to consider the thickness of the walls/floors/ceilings too!
it's more about the type of people in the area.

The neighbours may be easy going but the walls are thin as fuck - on the other hand the walls could be thick but you have nosey neighbours!

You might also want to consider how close it is from the station, whether the location is discrete etc.

All the best xxxx
