Newby in London needs advice
« on: 06 April 2011, 03:09:36 am »
Hi. I have been thinking about escorting for quite a while and after reading everything I could find, especially the forum here I want to give it a try. I would really appreciate someone with experience to give me some advice. I know that if I stick with it I will eventually want to go indy but to begin with I think I would like to start from an agency, I'm kind of cash strapped at the moment and would like to start working as soon as possible but I'm not sure how to go about getting a website up and still need to figure out how to make sure that I would be as relatively safe as possible doing outcalls. I think it's best to get my feet wet and make sure that I will enjoy this line of work while trying to sort those details.

If anyone could give me advise on any good agencies in London I would be very grateful. I have looked at tons of adds on google but I have no idea which ones are real or fake. Also all the ones that I have found have almost every single girl listed as 32-24-32, I find it very strange. I was worried about it at first but from reading the posts here there is work for every shape and size, which is nice to know but I just don't seem to be finding it. I'm 5'7 and 185 lbs with long natural red hair, it just doesn't seem like I fit with any of the agencies I have found so far.

I have an awful time with computers so I'm really afraid that I will end up getting conned by an official looking website that is really just bullshit. I am sooo thankful for finding this site, just reading everyone's posts has already stopped me from falling for a "pay us a fee and then we'll find you work, honest" scam. Not one of my brighter moments I'll admit.

Any advise you could give a new girl would be much appreciated. O by the way what about the name, like it/hate it, just came up with it off the top of my head sooo yeah, If you can't tell I ramble a bit when I'm stressed to I'll stop going on endlessly. Thanks in advance for any advice.

xx Lilith

Fortunately, there is an easy test: if they want any money off you in advance, they're a scam. There are real agencies that would like you to pay for pictures, but if they are not prepared to allow you to use your own photos / choose your own photographer / own the copyright of any photos, you can cross them off your list.

There is work for all shapes and sizes, but see lots of other threads about the 'most agencies think only one stereotype is worth marketing' issue. (I'd have to work out what 185lbs is - are you American?)

Like agency work, neither is perfect, but the two quickest ways to start would be either to find a brothel (aka parlour - look on the various 'punting' sites to find one with good reviews = presumably happy staff - where in exchange for having sex with several men and handing over around half the money, your security is greatly helped by having other people around, clients will typically turn up wanting sex with whoever happens to be on duty, and you can leave the work there) or put a profile up on AW (find a security buddy and be ruthless about who you'll consider seeing).

You may get called Lily by some :) , but there's only one person with Lilith in their username at AW and she's a dominatrix in Glasgow...

Thanks for the advice. Im actually Canadian, I keep forgetting to measure things in kilos here. 185 lbs makes me like a size 12-16 here.

Hi Lilith, welcome. :)

You can pop "agency" into the search form here and have a browse of the many, many topics on the subject of finding one, working for one, firing one, dealing with problems with one, etc etc.

The best way to discover the genuine agencies and best parlours is to thoroughly research the punter sites (put Punternet or Punterlink into Google), combing both the reviews and the forums to see which agencies/parlours are being talked about positively. A punter's perspective in this sense isn't quite as handy as a first-hand experience from a fellow sex worker, but you can get a general sense of which places have happy girls working there, and which places have miserable ones, if you read everything.

We can't recommend agencies or parlours directly on this forum (although some people might PM you - beware of spammers, as always :)) because they are usually moderately-dubious operations at best and therefore do not fit in with the whole "escort safety" priority here. Consider getting yourself a safety buddy even for agency/parlour work - someone should always know where you are - and what time you should be finished - when you're seeing clients.

Ah, yes, normal :)

Americans do body weight in pounds, in the UK we do sizes (for women) and stones and pounds (for everyone), but I wasn't up to dividing 185 by 14 that early in the morning :)

Thanks for the advice. I've been searching through the punter sites today for the reviews, I'm hoping I'll have some ideas of where to go soon. I definitely think I will be trying indie as soon as possible. Someone taking that big a chunk out of my money just doesn't sit well with me and I definitely trust myself to see to my security more than someone who makes money off me wether I'm fine or not.

lol definitely too early for math. I honestly wish I didn't need to be aware of my weight in any format but as I'm in the process of loosing the excess I figure it's a necessary evil.

If you are completely new to the industry then I would actually recommend starting at a parlour.   I was clueless when I started.   There is so much more to learn than how to be good at sex ...what you learn from the other girls and the maid will be invaluable.  I was lucky enough to start at a fantastic place.  We were all like family - and we had SO much fun.  This place was and still is a bit of a legend in the locality (about an hour away from me - don't go  to one near you for obvious reasons).   Regrettably it closed after I had been there for a year as everyone in the area was raided and it worried the owner and maid too much to continue (as they are the ones who would be prosecuteed). I was lucky enough to have taken the day off unexpectedly when it was raided.  That would have devastated me.  I tried two others after and my things were stolen, the bitchiness was incredible (too many people with too much time on their hands etc.). There is a lot of waiting around in a parlour.  I went Indie after that, but you do need some sort of "apprenticeship" IMHO.
Men - they come and they go.
