Dry Vaginal Lips
« on: 09 February 2025, 01:33:24 pm »
So, I get lubricated on the inside but it doesn’t seem to go down far enough and penetration is difficult because I’m dry on the outside, so my lips at the entrance (hope that makes sense).

I’ve tried, Liquid Silk, KY Jelly and Durex Lube (scented and unscented) but they all sting as I’m so sensitive.

Can anyone help with product recommendations?

I moisturise with coconut oil, but it's not compatible with latex condoms!

If KY stings, I would be talking to a sexual health clinic and seeing if there is any thing wrong - it's the commercial lubricant that's least likely to irritate IME.

Is using non-latex oil-safe condoms an option?

I would want to check nothing is wrong too, but all the above lubes are water based - have you tried a silicone based one?

I've used Pjur Woman (the one in the white bottle) for years and it's very long lasting - just keep it away from silicone toys if you have them, and don't get it on fabrics because it stains something murderous :(

Thank you. I’ll get checked out but I do have hypersensitivity. I guess this might be the issue

Luckily, it doesn’t hinder me too much, it would just be nice if it was easier.

I’ll try that lube, Amy x

I also have this.

I assume I have dryness because of the birth control pill.  The doctor's recommended me some lube called YES lube but it didn't work for me personally. Also, do guys ever bring and use their own lube ? I've had it before where their lube is out of date and I've become sore and stingy.  :

I use oestrogen cream but only once a week and I've also started using menopause and me vaginal moisturising gel from Boots, it contains hyaluronic acid, which is really hydrating and apparently repairs any tiny cuts too x

I have never heard of a guy bringing his own. I always have some anyway and would insist on using my own.

I know I have had irritation from some products. KY & liquid silk were OK.

Do you iniw if you are reacting to latex condoms? I can't use them because they make me sure.

Yes, I know it’s my hypersensitivity and not a latex allergy x
