I've been thinking and puzzling over this idea that massage is hard on your body—because I haven't found that at all. I'm wondering if it is due to the technique or having a massage table at the correct height.
And then I remembered - mostly I only do 1 a day/ 7 a week!

I can easily manage 2 clients in a day, but I have occasionally done 3, and that is really tough, and I wouldn't normally do that. Now, it's not difficult on my body - I am doing a fairly gentle massage. I'm not physically working hard. It is mentally tiring. I allocate 2 hours per client, so 3 clients is a 6-7 hour day (with a break and clearing up). I don't want to work that long!
I started out on the basis that I would aim for 1 person a day, priced accordingly, and then packaged it in such a way to make that sound appealing. So, each client pays about what I would have charged for a FS GFE.
Years ago, I used to go for regular massages. I remember being on holiday in a hotel and going for a massage that was 3 or 4 times as much as I would normally pay—I couldn't believe the price. But I was treated so well in lovely surroundings, so that is what I aim for. And I learnt that there are people in this country who expect to pay a lot more for things than the average person, those are the customers I'm aiming for.

I never considered doing short sessions or cheap sessions as that is too much work. And the cost of cleaning up and laundry would eat into profits, so I'm deliberately expensive.
If I charged less I'd see more men, but I doubt if I'd make more profit.
My mindset is:
* my time is what is worth the money.
* each client takes the same amount of effort so I may as well restrict it to few clients who stay a long time rather than lots of short-term cheapskates that still require the same amount of laundry/clean up and emotional energy from me.
NOTE: I can do a 90-—to 2-hour professional massage. I do know how to do this, and I would warn you all that it can cause real harm if you don't know what you are doing. My tip do not massage legs with varicose veins.
Be sure you can deal with things, which is just the same for anyone in this work:
I've had incontinent clients - mentioned in other threads.
I've had someone have a stroke in my premises!
I've had numerous people take to me about their suicide attempts and generally pour their hearts out about grief and things that are quite distressing.
