Title: Does anybody else have the same problem?
Post by: Aqua Allegoria on 08 September 2014, 02:31:28 pm
Hello Ladies,

I'm not sure this is escorting related but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I started escorting mid June. It involves a lot of rushing, often junk food, sandwiches here and there, diet coke, coffee, well, long hours on transports going to my incall place and back.

Anyway, last week or so I noticed I feel exhausted. Really unwell. I stayed to sleep in my incall place, slept long hours but poor quality sleep. The phone keeps ringing and I find myself turning down requests since the muscle pain in my arms and especially legs is excruciating. It's simply unbearable. And I never had it like this before.

I'm not sure I should link it to the fact I'm escorting which is why I'm asking. I just went back into bed today because the pain in my legs was making it impossible to be up.

It's difficult to say, but it wouldn't be surprising if you were burnt out. I would strongly urge you to take a week off, go somewhere peaceful and quiet, sleep, eat well, and just generally relax.

Sounds a bit like adrenal fatigue/exhaustion. I think I'm not allowed to post a link, so maybe you'd like to google it?

You should be eating better and getting good exercise. Take a bit of time off, rest, sleep - turn your phone off. Eat healthy food. Go for brisk walks. If you're not better in a week, go to your gp.

Charlotte, you really should see a GP, in the mean time try and see you are getting enough vitamins, minerals (supplements). There quite a few health foods you can eat on the go (bananas, seeds, nuts e.t.c). Also try keep away from caffeine, when I take it, it actually makes me feel tired (really) and this side effect  happens to a few people. Make sure you are getting enough fluids ( your pee isn't a dark color) and sleep. If you need a few days off don't feel bad about it, just your body telling you in advance it could get worse.  Make sure you see your GP.

I think sometimes we forget even in normal jobs, you can become depressed and hate it, so being an escort is no different, it's just about taking time for yourself, eating well and sleep. Hope you get better x

My pee is dark and I drink all the time but I'm just sooo thirsty.
I was on the phone with my sis today and I just started crying for no reason. I guess I'll slow down a bit though I haven't been seeing loads of clients anyway. I feel empty and that pain is just awful.

Thank you ladies.

Good food, vitamins, lots of water, exercise and really good sleep. I have been working every day for almost a year and without it would be dead. Also eat a lots of nuts for the brain. I can recommend a good vitamins from Solgar multivitamin and minerals. I take them eveyday. And sometimes just put the curtain down and sleep for a day or two. Go to a gym or wellness.

Your diet is definitely at least partially responsible. Also look into your sleep hygiene, as Candy said. While the emotional aspect might be a sign of burnout, you're not gonna feel well if your general lifestyle is shite. Just how it works, really.

If your fluid intake is mostly coffee and diet coke, then that could be the culprit. Both are diuretics which mean they make you pee out at least the same if not more than you take in. Also excess caffeine can lead to aches and pains. I had a day few days ago when I doubled my usual moderate caffeine intake, following morning I felt terrible and I knew I would until I had a caffeinated beverage. One Nero coffee later headache and other pains disappeared. Caffeine as a drug is vastly underestimated.

Please go to your GP anyway, just to exclude diabetes (thirst and lots of peeing)

I saw the lady in the consultation room at boots. I'll go to the walk in clinic tomorrow for blood tests. And she gave me a gel for that muscle pain.

Sounds like you have a urinary tract infection.

Go to your GP.  All things pass and I am sure you will be ok. xxx

Also check yourself how many potasium, sodium and magnez do you have. Go to the nearest lab and ask them to take a sample of your blood and screen it. I was reacently not sleeping, traveling, working and had just checked my blood today and all of those are at the ower bottom. Those are wipped off when drinking lots of coffee, smoking, etc. There you have to put extra from pills source. If you can't sleep use on youtube brainwave, just put inside the youtube and you should have some good sounds for sleeping. If not, take some sleeping pills.
Very important is to drink lots of water, if you can't drink the normal water drink some tasted water. They are just cool. I drink every day 5l of water. I take plenty of vitamins and minerals (over 20 pills I have to admit, but none of them are toxic). When you check your blood I can put you together some nice vitamins, but if your blood is just fine then take the Solgar Vitamins and Minerals V75. Works fine!

Charlotte, please remember than the girls on here, while wanting to help are not medically trained (in most cases I suspect), and reiterate the necessity to go to your doctors who is best qualified to find out what is wrong with you.  Blood tests is a good start too and any good doctor would want these done initially too.

Take care of yourself and if you need to, take time off.  Your health is of utmost importance.

I slept 13 hours last night and felt much better today.  Going for blood test with my sis tomorrow simply because if I see a needle I'll probably pee into my knickers so I need somebody to come with me lol! Started vitamins today and had only one weak coffee. But sleeping felt so good.

And a friend left me their flat. Huge bed and very quiet bedroom, I can stay there for at least a week! Awesome!

I agree with the other girls on here who talk about caffeine.  I have had intermittent aches and pains in my feet and also my chest for 3 years since escorting.  I have noticed after a few days of vastly cutting down on caffeine on several occasions that the aches and pains are virtually gone.

I just find it really hard to give up the drug altogether as I don't drink hardly ever and have never smoked.  I had my chest pain checked by two reiki masters who both said it wasn't heart related in the physical sense.  I think it is because I am isolated in the job that the pain manifests and it is my being crying out for emotional support.  I have recently told two friends about the job who are both very strong about confidentiality and it is good to know I can discuss it with them.

Charlotte I hope you get to the bottom of your burnout symptoms and wish you all the best with it. :-*

I'm happy for you Charlotte! What vitamins did you buy? Which brand?

I did not have a good sleep, and maybe I will have to take a sleeping pill.

For the nutritions I take bassicly lots of magnez (I take extra magnesium beside the vitamins I take), vitamin b12 (in injection), omega 3-6-9. Everything high quiality. I did spent last time 300 euro for suppls only, but I am a total vitamin junky. I check myself with doctor too (also I spoke about the vitamins, as far as everything is good with the blood  nothing to worry). So, basicly with my poor eating, coffee, ciggo and sleeping I would have huge deficied if I wouldn't take suppls.

Oh, I went to boots. They sold me boots brand. And that green brand, Berocca. Are there any particular brands you would advise? I really have no clue which brands I should buy here in the UK...

I recommend highly the Solgar. Is clean, highly in those vitamins. Litte bit more expensive, but the diffrent is very noticable.

Also I take lots of antioxidant, here it comes  ;D green tea, 1g vitamin C all chelated, bluberry pills, resveratols and something for the eyes (luteine mixed).

I just go from the apotheek the potasium, sodium which give the electrolites and also make the water system in your body works perfectly. It's called Litosral but you can ask just for something with electolites. This is the most important for the body and you loose it when being tired. It makes the heart and brain working in good condition.

Ok, I'll get that. I bought green tea yesterday as well. And almonds.

Almonds are good or the brain. The green tea good for losing fat and great antioxidant (prefers the cell from getting old)

Candy I think what you were referring to earlier was rehydration salts.  They are excellent when we are full of aches and pains from being overtired and dehyrdrated.  I have not thought about buying these for such a long time.  The blackcurrant flavour is rather tasty I do recall!  You can get these in any good supermarket.

It is good to share our views.  I take spirulina which tastes foul, but helps with stamina, so that I do not get too many colds and coughs.  I can honestly say in over a year of taking it I have only had one actual proper cold.  I whisk it in almond milk and buy the sprirulina from Holland & Barrett.  I drink it most days of the year indeed I swear by it.  It is supposed to be highly nutrient dense and helps rebuild the brain!

Hi again Charlotte no they are two different things lol!

Rehydration salts you can just pick up in any good supermarket.

Spirulina is an algae that comes in either powder or tablet form - personally I prefer the powder.  Spirulina is not for when you are dehydrated but it is used and known for being highly dense in nutrients.  It tastes disgusting though!  It is ?12.99 in Holland & Barrett and lasts c 3 weeks if you take 2 teaspoons a day.  I take it every day after lunch.

Any good health shop will stock spirulina though Charlotte and if you find a helpful store you can ask extra questions there too.

Hope this helps. :o

Sorry for short reply am on my phone xx but Lushblossom please get any chest pains checked out asap by your GP, they're not something to be ignored. I respect your faith in alternative medicine but for somthing as serious as chest pain you really do need to see your doctor xx
