Jif lemon is great advice! Who would have thought! Can also throw it at them too if they get nasty.
Would definitely temporarily blind someone.

I have an attacker spray - it's fully legal to use and it's basically red paint that is very stubborn to remove. If sprayed in the face it is strong enough to momentarily blind a person, which is enough time to run away. The attacker also can't really deny the attack as they are covered in red paint which takes up to a week to remove.

I also have a deafening rape alarm and have a black belt in karate from years ago, I have just now restarted lessons to ensure I still know how to knock an attacker out with a single punch. Always good to know.

I've never had to use any self defence, thankfully.

I boil the hotel kettle just before my client comes up in the hope that it doesnt cooled down by the time it kicked off. Good luck explaining to the wife why there’s no skin left on their cock  >:D

Puts me in mind of Cathy Tyson in the Banc of Gold scene.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

This is a great post, I love the idea of a jif lemon.

I want to invest in a rape alarm but where do you get them from (in the UK) and are there different types to choose from?

It was the best and had potential to continue. It was based in Lumb Lane in Bradford.

I really wouldn't fancy the risk of backlash from the boiling kettle!  ???

There would only be 2 scenarios that would make me resort to the kettle.

1) he’s already being violent and I’m struggling to fight him off

2) hes trying to rob me

The first would be worth the risk of a small splash back, the 2nd would be tipped straight over the back of his head when I told him my purse is under the bed (presuming that’s possible) either way if either me or my money is in danger someone is getting swilled

No, but I can bust a ball bag in two or break a nose. I reccomend learning or at least checking out some youtube self defence. If you can't do that leave the premises screaming for help (screaming pumps you up with extra oxygen-to boost running away). You can choose fight or flight.
By the time you fiddle around with gadgets, a predator is so hyped with adrenalin, one of the most powerful strength hormones in the animal world, an alarm or bit of fruit juice ain't gonna make much impact.

The backlash being from getting arrested/remanded in custody for pre meditated GBH, the splash back from boiling water/getting the hot kettle snatched off me, I wouldn't fancy either.

In the scenario of him being daft enough to rummage under the bed looking for the non existent money surely it would be a great opportunity to make a dash from the violent man?

In any event you never know how a situation is going to develop, there's usually no plan for an attack, but in close contact the best weapon is your own body, a swift tight grab to the balls, poke in the throat etc to give time to get away would be my thoughts, just remember not to put your finger in an attackers mouth though lol

I would have already tried all the ball grabbing and throat poking.
If I picked that kettle up I would already have injuries, kettles boiled to make a cup of tea (what else for) I just grabbed in self defence. No premeditated GBH charge for me. If I wanted a criminal record I wouldn’t be fannying around with a shitty kettle that only fits a cups worth in.

Il say again the kettle is a last resort for me. It’s not a case of ‘do you do owo?’ WHOOOSH. As much as I’d love to sometimes.

Another good little weapon is a wooden spoon, ever been cracked with one of them? Wow the pain is something else!
