Do you get relentlessly spammed?
« on: 24 May 2012, 03:57:29 pm »
I've got a website and put myself on some directories about a year ago, and I still get loads of junk email everyday from one or another tinpot directory/agency/webdesigner/photographer/SEO...the list is endless!

I thought at first is was as I'd just set up and it would die off, but its still coming thick and fast over a year later!  And even though I block it new spammers seem to spring up everyday!

Does anyone else have the same problem?  And what can be done about it (bar deleting my email account lol)

Depending on just how you get your email, a variety of solutions exist, but yes, this is the lot of anyone with an escorting website.

I sometimes think there should be a charge per email sent...
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Yep, me too. It's got much worse over the last year or so though - I don't know whether the spammers have got better or the Hotmail filters just can't handle it all, but a lot more seems to get through to my actual Inbox nowadays.

I would recommend you to write your email address in such a way that bots (robots that search the web) can't identify nor copy your address. Here some examples: myname @gmail.com (as you know emails can't have spaces between letters), myname at gmail.com
