I agree.I also found on the odd occaision back when I first started if you give a discount once quite often they expect it everytime or in some cases they will try and get even more money off.Its like in their eyes they see you as a soft touch.

the thing is the ones who haggle usually turn out to be bloody awkward clients.
Theyre already starting off by showing a lack of respect that normal clients would be ashamed to display, my experience is if you entertain them it generally continues to go down hill even more until you're kicking yourself for getting involved with such an idiot

Yep, totally agree with this x

Had an outcall the other day, got there and he was ?5 short! Wasn't sure what to do as had taken a taxi but he wasn't too far away. He tried to convince me by saying I could leave 10 min early. That's when I decided to walk as I explained it doesn't work like that as he booked an hour. Then oh look he found the money after all ::) he's been put on the block list now anyway, if they do it once they will do it again.

I had that before where the guy booked for an hour and produced a load of crumpled notes. He was ?20 short I gave him back a tenner and said I will stay for 30 mins (not too far from where I live and I had a client that wanted to see me straight after so not too bad) I did however stop at exactly 30 mins and the poor bugger hadn't cum because he was very stoned. He suffered really because of it.

Leaving is not something I would do at that point, but as you did and he paid up it worked, I would be thinking that I would be out of pocket by two taxi fares not just ?5. But then where would you draw the line? An under payment of 20 30 or even 40?

I have had clients that have wanted an hour in-call and only had 100, so I take the money and gave them 45 minutes.

The guy I gave a 15 min quickie for 30 turned out to be a pain and has rang back, i told him that the 30 was a special offer as I had told him on the day and that he would have to pay 50, he did not book. He could have had the offer on my web site for 40 but I am really not fussed about seeing him again, if I do then I want to make it worthwhile.

to be fair I thought "well Ill just work 30 mins then" as I earn more money per minute in a 30 minute booking it doesnt bother me. However if he didnt have the money for 30 minutes I woulda walked Im not desperate for money lol

No, It really shocks me that anyone would even ask for a dicsount. I find it ridiculously rude. I don't care if my rent is due in ... 3 hours i will never reward their rudeness. Unless i have specifically put down the price myself (which only really happens once in a blue moon if i want a customer within the hour so i can have some spending money to go out with friends) < because it would be the difference bewtween staying in bored or going out & having a good time. I shamefully put my 15 minute down so low but i didn't end up regretting it as i had some cash to have fun. But i guess that just goes to show... if your happy to and the (of course the client is happy too) then why not really

Depends on what they are haggling for.
If somebody just texts me saying can you do (insert service here) for 20 quid. I would definitely ignore them. Timewaster alert!
If it someone I have seen before and I have availability then I would consider it, if it just knocking a tenner of my rate
It tends to be, if I think its a guaranteed booking from someone I know, I wouldn't treat it as rude, as I know guys spend a lot of money.
However, I would much rather they didn't try and haggle! But I guess that's not unusual :)
