new and could do with some advice
« on: 05 April 2009, 05:19:47 pm »
Hi everyone. Im 22 and ive decided, not lightly, to go into the escorting industry. Ive made the phonecall and im now meant to be meeting the manager of an escorting agency next week to discuss work. I know this sounds a little naive, but any ideas as to what i should wear? Im only meeting him for a few hours late evening ish to go through things and he said it would be informal, so would smart dress be appropriate?
Furthermore, id really appreciate it if any one could tell me a little bit about working for an escort agency or any advice as im completely new to the industry.

Many Thanks,  x

Hi and welcome.

As regards dress I would think smart and conservatively sexy (is there such a thing?) would be good as he will be assesing your looks as well as your attitude.

Are you sure its a legit agency with a good repuation, what do you know about them? Also, "a few hours" sounds like quite a long meet, please make sure there is no rehersal or seeing if you are capable of doing the job casting couch sort of thing being suggested.

An agency interview should be just that, an interview nothing more.

Decide for yourself ahead of the meeting what your boundaries are by having a look around the main pages of this site and having a think about what you will and wont do. Dont be talked into offering anal for example if you do not want to do it. If he wants face photos and you do not want to show your face, say so. If he insists then find another agency. There are always other options in this business and so make sure you feel comfortable with what is on offer. You need to be checking him and his agency out as much as he is checking you out.

I don't work for an agency so cannot offer any advice.
Just welcoming you that's all.

Thankyou for your advice.
I got the agency from the back of a local newspaper and gave them a ring. Ive tried to look them up as much as i can but cant actually pinpoint the agency, it just leads to other escort agencys with the same name in different areas. Im getting the train there next week, and he said he would meet me outside the train station as they are based right outside it. Although to mind...i only know of a bunch of hotels outside the station.
He did say that if i want to come for work that night i can. He has seen some mainly head photos as i sent him some so he had a rough idea what i looked like. I have said id rather just come for a chat about things which he said was fine, and i can meet some of the other girls then etc. Im really nervous though.
Am i being unrealistic or are all escorts a size 8 and have no flaws. Im a size 12 (at my highest) , only because ive gained a little weight which im planning to lose again,  but i am dreading meeting the girls and them all being really in shape and not getting work.  Hes only seen face shoots which he really liked and said i was already hired, but im a little self concious about how my body will compare to some of the others.

Read Brandy's new article! Size 12 is fine. http://www.saafe.info/pyt.html

It's possible that he's expecting you to be a skinny wench and will change his mind when he sees you. More annoyingly, he might mess you about and constantly change the goalposts; some people do that. You'll probably be fine though, and even if you don't get work with this agencies there are other ways.

Also, I want to echo what Trafford said. You only need to talk to him, don't give him any freebies!

Mmm perhaps it is a parlour rather than an agency if he is saying they are based by the station and that the girls will be around to meet you. Have you got someone you can take with you just in case he turns out to be a cretin (meeting at the station sounds odd - why is he not giving you the address of his premisies)?

Also what do you mean about the agency leading to other agencies with then same name in different areas - do you mean the same add in different papers?

He may be legit, he may not, so just keep in mind what you want from the meeting and dont be talked into anythng. Gut instinct is probably our most important tool of the trade so follow that.

Good luck.

The primary thing to remember when working for an agency is that they're making money off you, so you should expect to be treated with respect and for them to do something to earn the money: advertising / handling calls / security etc.

It's not uncommon for the same agency to operate under multiple names, but I would expect to find some 'field reports' from clients of any agency worth working for that has been around for a while. If I could not, I would wonder why - low numbers of clients? Being found out faking reviews? Something else?

Unless that is when you picked, I am a tiny bit surprised that they want to see you 'late evening ish' because that would normally be a busier time for them than, say, the afternoon. The length of time is a bit odd too.

If you need to take a train to the area, what are you going to do while 'on shift'? Hang around their offices waiting for a call?
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

thankyou for getting back to me, its really appreciated.

the agency name is called elite escorts, its in chester. but whenever i try and look it up on the internet, it just leads to other pages of escorting links. so i cant actually pinpoint the agency? i havent found any customer reports or anything as you suggested.

it was me that picked the time slot as evening is more conveinent for me, he just said it was fine as he works 24/7. its this Friday im meant to be seeing him, so ill be sure to let you know how it goes. Unfortunately ive not got anyone to take with me, but hopefully if its having a drink in a hotel to discuss things then it will be fairly public place, although i also question this, as talking in a public place about the work isnt the most private setting.

Hmmm, not sure what to think about this one.  I've never worked for an agency or parlour so never had to meet anyone for an "interview".  Although if I had I'm not sure I would be happy with someone suggesting I meet them outside a station - just doesn't sound right to me. You should be able to find details of a reputable agency and a parlour should have been able to give you their location. If you still decide to go along this Friday and you can't take someone along with you, please make sure you only go to a public place within walking distance of the station to have your chat (one of those nearby hotel bars would be fine).  If you get the feeling somethings not quite right when you meet (if he turns up) then trust your instincts and walk away.  Sorry if I sound overly cautious but that's how I prefer to be.

Yes, as said above, a public place like a hotel bar is the best option. Don't worry about privacy unless it's so busy you end up sitting right next to other customers. I've done two hotel bar agency interviews in central London now and in neither one did any passersby listen to/care what was going on. :)

I hope your interview goes well and the guy turns out to be professional and competent. If you get even a faint whiff of sleaze, just get yourself out of there because there *are* agencies and parlours that, from what I know and have heard from other girls, are run really well and are great to work for. You don't have to put up with any crap.

BTW, smart dress is ideal, I think. Definitely something that flatters you (nothing baggy!) but it's not like you need to get your boobs out for (this) guy. ;)
