ive decided to tour in october
but dont know where the best discreet hotels are that dont use those bloody card keys

Holiday inn cambridge (not the centre one) its got lots of parking, the hotel has a gym which has it's own members so lots of people come and go all day long.

 In London:  there is the Novotel in Paddington which is very good and discreet, and also the Shaftsbury Metropolitan in the same area (they have some negative reviews on a few sites re: room size, but the room was more than I needed and the service was stellar).  More Central than that I can also personally recommend the Ambassador Hotel, 2 min walk from Euston in Bloomsbury.
