"don't know a virgin do you luv?"
« on: 09 August 2011, 09:08:12 am »
I was following 'Mr Average''s posts on here last week when he was attempting to find out about selling his (anal) virginity. I know that topic got locked but was wondering...

How many of you think that the virgin auctions are getting more popular for hard up young ladies? A google search shows that lots has been going on. New market area? Mr Average was given the impression that he wouldn't be able to earn a lot but if we think of young ladies who have done it, they have received amounts of  20k, 200k and Natalie Dylan more than that. They might not all be accurate but some of the reports will be.

Have you ever had a client expressing a secret desire for this?

Every so often, it becomes flavour of the month as a news story and I think this contributes to the feeling that it happens more often than it does. It's not really that many over a decade or so, isn't it?

Similarly, the figures talked about are usually inflated: someone anonymously offering ?xxx is not the same as Ms Virgin actually getting ?xxx.

I don't doubt she made money out of it, but I am not convinced the Natalie Dylan story was ever genuine rather than a publicity stunt for the brothel.

'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

I see that. The ('unnamed here') premises in Nevada got a lot of publicity from all the hype. But after googling this (seems to me) growing trend, there are other INDEPENDENT girls who seem to have completed a deal. A girl in Romania who is called Alina Percea in the articles talks about the after effects and the Daily Mail following a 'Miss Spring' who had an Englishman and and Irishman in a 200k bidding war seems to be another genuine successful case. And I'm sure most girls wishing to do it don't want to appear in the papers so we can't know how many are using this idea.

oh, and all reports concern girls over legal age I hasten to confirm.

It would be amusing (and icky) if there were! Selling virginity is a complicated business, what with having to prove things and find someone odd enough to want to pay megabucks for it (when most people have much cheaper - or even free! - shags and would actually prefer nobody bleed or cry) who wouldn't waste your time or try to not pay by claiming that you were not really as virtuous and pure as claimed - I can't help but think that market is really quite small. Especially if you don't publicise (/embarrass?) yourself in the general media enough in order that your little auction attracts attention from the (three?) potential bidders.

In societies where virginity is still seen as something vitally important, even perhaps the most important thing a young woman can have, they tend to have a 'handy' system called patriarchal control and oppression in which young virgins are given to men for free via marriage in exchange for keeping her in his house, or cupboard, or whatever. So... you'd have to find a nicer guy somewhere else who just has a virginity fetish, or something?

I think plenty of clients like new girls to the industry, though, so if you're smart and work sensibly and take care of yourself, you can market the hell out of your introduction to the sex biz and profit nicely without having anyone peering suspiciously into your vaginal canal. Plus, it's really nice to lose your virginity to someone you actually fancy (wedding vows entirely optional, though!).

Oh! And perhaps, most important of all, is the fact that virginity is not really a Thing. Well, of course, the first time someone has sex is important. :) But the hymen is not what most people think it is, and you cannot guarantee the bleeding or pain (if anything, that usually comes from the poor virgin not being aroused enough during her first awkward encounter) or even say what "deflowering a virgin" is really supposed to be like.

John Cleland wrote 'Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure' (or Fanny Hill as it is more commonly known) in 1748 and in that the Heroine has her virginity sold by (repeatedly) by the Brothel owner. Selling virginity definitely isn't a new idea...

But the general public (i.e. potential bidders - even men who don't see many a fanny can still look up stuff on t'internet) are a little wiser nowadays! Plus, you don't need to be a virgin to guarantee that you don't have syphilis now, thank God - condoms are a little cheaper!

and memoirs of a geisha comes to mind

...And women are less oppressed now, being able to make their own decisions (mostly) about their sexuality: greater gender equality = more fun, free and safe sex for all. Hence my positing that virginity sales are not likely to be the big (?) market that they used to be.

If someone here is off to sell their virginity, however (though I guess it ain't gonna be me ;D), then I am honestly all ears if they want to come back and let us know the region in which they are collecting offers! Would be interesting, to say the least. But I won't be putting bets on anyone earning more than a few thousand from it.

I wish I'd known back then it had a financial value. I gave mine away for half a pizza and two bottles of diamond white :)
