I worked in Plymouth about 4 years ago - very quiet.

My experience of being an indie is that men see girls in towns just a bit away from home - so they won't get recognised or seen going in houses by friends or family. Not many men visit or go past Plymouth (except when they are going on holiday to Cornwall with their wife in the car) and it is quite an insular place

Small towns near motorways and within 20 miles of bigger towns or cities are good in my experience. I have worked in the south west in several places. Exeter, Taunton, Weston Super Mare, Bridgwater, Yeovil and they are better bets with cheap rents. Best of all is Bristol (although rent is high)- near M5 junctions. You get locals plus guys from Cardiff, Gloucester plus all the business men driving between south west towns and the midlands/london. They are horny/sex starved, money in their pocket and can account for the time taken out when travelling without being caught by wife or employer (an hour late home = traffic jam, no suspicion of them spending time with prozzies!). I see more men from Plymouth in Bristol than I did in Plymouth.
