Oh yes. People know what I look like before they make contact so I don't have your problem, but I've had various abusive emails from strangers over the years. Some of them focus on my appearance.

Some people like to put others down. The "potential client" situation is a good one because they've seen your posts and you picture, but you don't know anything about them. They put you down and feel big and clever because they think they've hurt you. If you think about what kind of person would need to do that to feel good about themselves, you realise how little it matters.

BBWs and mature escorts are considered especially easy to victimise by the jerks so you'll probably experience more of them than I do, but I suspect that your size doesn't have that much to do with how few interested replies you get back. A lot of people only take one or two steps toward making a booking, either because they're fantasists or they chicken out. I think there's more of that on the message boards.

If you haven't already, it would probably help you get the right people talking to you if you put a short description in your signature. Something like, "Friendly semi-pro BBW in <area>".

Yeah, in the early days I used to get nasty emails from guys. Funnily enough a lot of them from AOL addresses. Oh yes, if you haven't already, you'll also most likely be getting emails from religious bible nuts calling you Jezebel and whore and telling you how much of a sinner you are, selling your flesh. So look out for those. It used to make me wonder how they found escort sites in the first place.

I don't believe it's all about ignorance, they call me fat sometimes. People learn early on that the word "fat" has a lot of power over (most) women.

I don't mean that calling BBWs fat is ignorant. I'm fat and I know it. It's a bit like stating the obvious. What I meant was I think it's ignorant that people can't look past that and realise that gents do like big women, and would pay for the privilege. Their incredulity at the audacity of BBWs wanting to become escorts, to the point where they take time out of their day to email you their disdain, is pure ignorance in itself.
