Outcall at Client's Home - Security Checks
« on: 23 June 2013, 06:10:20 pm »
I have just recently had to start just working outcalls after doing pretty well with incalls only for over a year.

As I'd never done outcalls before I checked the main Saafe page for information about how to go about offering outcalls and what security checks to do. I have only had two clients willing to give me all the information I am supposed to ask in order to visit them at their home, another couple have just not replied after I've asked for the information, another was too paranoid, one gave me his full name and address but didn't have a landline number and this evening someone who has good feedback on Adultwork thinks it isn't legal for me to ask for their information and he doesn't have a landline number either.

So, what do you ask from people without a landline number? And do other girls find they manage to get a comfortable number of bookings while carefully following the security guidelines from the homepage? I'm just concerned that I'm going to lose out on a lot of potential work at a time when I can't really afford to do so but at the same time I don't wish to compromise on my security.

Well leaving aside Mr I-have-good-feedback-as-a-punter-therefore-I'm-a-legal-expert who clearly isn't the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, the information you're asking for is basically to save your time being wasted by seeking as concrete proof as is available that the person who has contacted you is going to be at the address they say they are at, and therefore your security buddy will know exactly where you are.

I do very few outcalls as I don't really find the demand for them makes the hassle worth my while, but on the very rare occasion that I do a home visit to a client I haven't met previously (and I would still be checking the name and address on the electoral roll), I've never had any trouble getting the requisite information - most sensible people understand why we're asking and you're maybe just getting a bad run? I find punters who regularly book outcalls at their homes are used to being asked, although plenty don't bother and a look at some of the woeful tales in Warnings is ample demonstration of what usually happens next.

As far as landlines or lack of them go, some ladies will accept a scanned image of a utility or council tax bill with the name and address on - it's not foolproof, but it depends on how much risk you want to take. I'd accept that for a short journey, but nothing outside my home town without a deposit as well to cover travel time and costs (and if somebody is up to no good to the extent that they'll doctor a bill/document to get you to go, you've probably got more to worry about than having the door answered by a little old lady).

I've recently seen several mentions from independents as well as agencies who've at the least had their time wasted by not asking for proof of residency. Some ladies will go out on the strength of a mobile phone call, but that is up to them - they risk their time and safety.

I'd rather not miss another booking, or lose travel time and expense.

Yes it does mean some guys say "No thank you", but for all you know they could be on a wind up anyway. Genuine guys who understand the need will provide the necessary information, and one or two have actually said that after initial misgivings they actually decided it was a sign I was professional and took my safety and well being seriously.

If they do not have a landline then copy of utility bill, electoral roll check and possibly a small deposit if the outcall location is going to involve significant travel time or distance.
