I'm sorry you've been left to feel like that, it's not nice and I think we've all done it. On the few occasions I've ignored my gut feeling and decided to give the benefit of the doubt, it's only served to prove that my initial instincts were right. Yes, I get this too. I often can't put my finger on it, they sound normal but I just have this feeling I shouldn't see them.  I often think it's just me being silly but then I remind myself that I don't feel like that with every punter.

Sometimes they can seem perfectly lovely on the phone then be a total wanker in person. I've had the same a couple of times you just take what you can and learn to read the signs. Can't say I've been in a situation so bad I felt it deserved a warning but have had some bad clients none were horrible over the phone but when I look back there were certain signs there that they had some power issues.

Yep, sometimes there are no signs at all.  In fact my worst clients have always seemed really nice on the phone lol. Some of them just slip through the net!
