Constructive advice about going independent pls......
« on: 16 December 2009, 07:28:52 am »
Hi all,(stoppied putting ladies out of respect for you Joey ha ha)

I  should be in bed sleeping but the agency malarkey is going round and round in my head. You know what i am really cheesed off with them and there attitude. it stinks. It seems they were just nice to me at the start to lure me in and gave me work initially for the same reason.

I agree it is   a crap agency. I mean Im sorry but Ive heard them trying to promote women on the phone. Ive realised that lets  say  a lady is described as very pretty on the website they say shes very pretty when a client calls. so using the description as a keyword which lacks any originality in my book.

And if that's the best they can do thenI do not see how they can justify how much commission they take. it is plain greedy and I feel sorry for the drivers who get paid fuck all and work bloody hard............Id rather give more money to the driver than the damn agency

I think that their advertising is crap and even the driver said the same! There is a lot of negativity in the air.......the drivers are cheesed off, the girls are pissed off .

I mean the girls who have photos on the site and established clients are struggling so what chance have i got?

I love my job but not like this.

So I know how to set up a website and where to advertise. Obviously if i go  independent then I can charge my own fees and get the whole amount without paying an agency a fee . So a bonus plus all the freedom of what hours to suit me.

But Im thinking of travel costs and then hiring lets  say a hotel room and then maybe a driver. Do you end up any better financially? I mean yes I know  I would  have total control of all the finances. another plus.

Im also concerned about the security side of things........... i cant think of anyone who would just remain on standby  and that is one benefit of the agency is the security.

what do you indie ladies do? do you hire a driver, bodyguard, or use the buddy sytem/

Please help .

Thanks
becky

Yes, you'll make more money after hiring a driver. Say you pay ?20 for a one hour job, you'll still make ?30 more than you are now and that's if you don't charge any more than the agency.

Getting a room is obviously more of a financial risk, but incalls are not essential. If you're nervous about putting money in just offer outcalls and see how it goes. I did that for years (and it's not much different now). For me it means that I try to take work whenever it comes up rather than setting working hours, but I do what I want and go to bed when I want so I think it works better than the situation you're in now.

You could also try contacting local ladies and see if any of them would rent their place to you by the hour.

For security, get your own driver. Do the agency drivers need to be available to the agency for the whole shift? That would make things difficult since they won't want to give up the agency job to drive one girl, but maybe they'd be willing to pick up some jobs on their days off. You could also ask on the various message boards if someone knows a driver covering your area, or look on adultwork.

If you don't want to use driver for every job (hotel jobs are the ones where I don't), get yourself a security buddy. Lots of us have offered or you can post your own thread.
