Occupation
« on: 10 July 2010, 05:09:33 pm »
Hi, I've been an escort almost three months now and am finally getting round to sorting my Tax form out. I've read a lot of the other posts about tax on this forum and realise that some of you do put your occupation down as an escort and some don't. I'm really tempted to just be honest and say I'm an escort just because it will make things so much easier, not to mention the amount I'll be able to claim back from toys, condoms ect.

My question is for those of you who are registered as being escorts, who has access to that information? I'm thinking future employers, landlords, can anyone get that information? Have any of you had bad experiences through disclosing your true occupation?

For the people that put down something else, what have you found that makes the most convincing cover story, with out making the tax form too complicated?

Thanks for taking the time to read this, kim x

No one is privy to the information on your tax return but you, the tax man and your accountant. Equally, if you worked in a normal job as well, your employers would not be entitled to that information.

If you do not have a accountant, then fill it out with whatever suits your costs. Mobile therapist, aromatherapist, hairdresser, beautician, life coach..

Whatever you feel like being really, and if you plan on claiming back your expenses such as petrol then you need to be realistic. Also, remember that the accounts you keep are important as they can be requested at anytime.

Ive just done my tax few weeks ago ive only been escorting 4 months, as i do modelling aswel i just put down that im a model. That way i can still claim on some of the stuff i could for escorting (travel, outfits, toys etc)

The only reason i didnt put escort was because i wasnt sure on the legal side regarding escorting in the uk, obviously after reading this site im now aware it is indeed legal but i may aswel leave my job title as it is for now.

In my opinion Model or Therapist are good descriptions since they be used when applying for mortgages etc (with out anybody getting concerned about escorting) and the information you provide will continue to be 100% in agreement with your tax form (I have known some Mortgage companies ask for a copy of your tax return as proof of your earnings if you don't have an accountant)
