Coldsore and working/Less services.
« on: 18 December 2022, 09:22:50 pm »
So annoyed I have had a Coldstream decide to show up on my lip and I've already paid for a week's accommodation, So fed up now.

I wanted to get some advice please ladies, So I still need to cover costs of the apartment. I was thinking of still working but dropping prices and just stating reduced service. As its a small Coldstream and lipstick can cover it up, Anyone had this dilemma? I Can still perform except no kissing or oral although I do OW but with my lip it would be sore.

This was my week to get money in for Xmas and possibly a rubbish quiet January.

The danger is if anyone notices you could get a negative review. They are very contagious, and may lead to potentially awkward questions for married blokes, especially if partners are already suspicious about Christmas parties. I would be honest and say no kissing but also no oral at all for them.

Thanks Kay, I have cancelled 6 bookings and taken kissing and oral off my ad and lowered my fee. A few regulars are OK with this and still want to book even without kissing and oral but many love to kiss so rescheduling. I'm being totally honest and transparent with what is not available and why. Just such a pain and bad timing.

If you smear Sudocrem over the area last thing at night it will be gone by the morning.

As soon as you start feeling the tingle, start taking lysine tablets, even more than recommended dosage. It either speeds up the recovery or completely reverts the sore depending when you “catch” it.

Zovirax on top.

Honestly both me and my son swear by Sudocrem.  Last thing at night it often goes the next morning or latest the second day.

Will try the sudocream thanks lushblossom, I got this device that your suppose to use at the tingle which I did but useless, Then zovirax and bee propolis tincture bit if Sudocream works then that would be great but it's blistering now so even though I've got plenty of work coming at me with the no kissing and OW I feel bloody self conscious. And yes Northern I do normally take Lycine but ran out, Only get them twice a year if that but stress and cold weather might be the reason. I avoid peanuts or anything with them because they do cause me to break out its the Arginine foods I avoid.

I think they say it is something to do with zinc deficiency so maybe consider taking a supplement for prevention in the future.

I would maybe offer a oily hand relief 15 min special (maybe add a cum on breasts if you offer that) as a way to not have any oral contact? then [cream of your choice] and lots of lippy!

You may find you need to throw an old lipstick away once contaminated with cold sores.

I think they say it is something to do with zinc deficiency so maybe consider taking a supplement for prevention in the future.

No, it's a virus. And a herpes virus at that. So one to be avoided. It takes up residence in nerve cells and re-occurs periodically once an individual is infected with it.

Zovirax is the cream to use. Put it on frequently - hourly if possible - and it will go away in a couple of days. If it's the first infection and you're lucky and very quick with the cream it might be banished. Otherwise it gets in deep and never leaves you. It's related to Chicken pox, which re-occurs in some people as shingles. The mechanism is very similar, taking up residence in nerve cells.

There is also a prescription oral treatment called Aciclovir which also helps. But you won't get that prescribed until the infection is serious and too late to stop becoming permanent. So Zovirax is the first line of defence, and the most important to use. I've not had a cold sore, but I know plenty of people who have, and all the ramifications, and I keep a tube of Zovirax for just in case. Some supermarkets sell it in 2g tubes.

Bear in mind also that it can re-locate to all parts of the body, particularly soft tissue, genitalia etc, and can be a really horrible infection. Which is very important for sex workers to be aware of, and very appropriate on this forum in case anyone thinks it's off topic.

Very familiar with the virus having had it for over 35 years but with time I no longer get a first tingle which is very annoying and I carry zovirax with me all the time and paranoid about cross contamination. I  was married for 14 years and my ex husband never got the virus from me or does he have it. The amino acid Arginine can actually cause a breakout so I avoid peanuts and eating too much dark chocolate and eat a diet high in Lycine but for me it's when I get very rundown I get one and it's 2 max a year, I wear factor 50 on my lips to, Wouldn't be worth any girls reputation to spread it to anyone.

Never used sudacream before but definitely will of I get a coldsore again, And I take zinc daily but I do tend to have a low Vitamin D and B12, I got a course of B12 shots and it took 5 fir me to actually feel any benefit.

I worked but I didn't offer OW even though a few clients thought it would be OK and I wore a clear plaster barrier on my lip. It wasn't a nasty one and with the clear thin barrier plaster and I used lipstick but applied it with a clean ear bud each time, Nobody could really see it.

Sudacrem is good for a range of things, really helps cuts heal, can be used on spots, also vaginal soreness. I sometimes mix with thrush cream if I've had a lot of 'action and feeling natural balance is going the wrong way.
