Clock watching: am I strict?
« on: 05 February 2022, 12:26:42 am »
I hate when they message asking whether I'm a clock watcher. It makes me feel as if they're expecting my time for nothing. I charge in units of time. So if you book an hour, you get an hour. No more no less. That includes showering time. But it seems as if some people expect everything to be loose and free and no clock watching at all. I know some workers allow leeway for showers and dressing etc but this eats into my time so I'm a bit stricter. Am I unreasonable?

I allow a little time for shower and dressing and ordering a taxi as long as clients aren't taking the Mickey. I guess this is priced in to my rates. On average it's not going to more than around ten minutes.

If by clockwatching they mean going tut tut and rolling eyes with one eye on the clock and yawning then no I'm not a clockwatcher.  I see it as quid pro quo. They're good to me, I'm good to them. If I don't like a client and they're making me work for every second they're out the second the time is up and go on my blocklist.

I read a story once about man visiting a Chinese brothel. The second the time was up the Madam walked into the room and threw all his clothes out the window!

I'm with Tickle on this. They can shower in my time and I also don't have a clock in the bedroom, but I know in my head how much time they've had. So, the alloted time in the bedroom and 5 mins or so have a quick chat and use the bathroom.

I sometimes let regulars go 10 mins over or have a shower in my time, my clients know I don’t take the piss by trying to get them in and out as quick as possible.  they always get their full time at least maybe a tiny bit more. I honestly think this keeps me busy on when I toured last week I could only take 2 new bookings was almost fully booked with regulars x
Not today satan

I try and keep an hour in between bookings to freshen up so I don't mind them going a little over, if they're good to me. I've had a few piss takers though so when I'm ready I will start putting my clothes on, que for you too buddy. I used to hate 15 minute bookers who clearly needed 30, had that happen so often so no I don't offer 15 mins at all.

Usually the guys who ask if you're a clock watcher or say they don't want to visit clock watchers are the ones who are going to take the piss with our time so always a red flag to me and to be avoided.
Bookings of less than an hour, yes I'm going to be strict on time, if they want to be cheap then they are not getting my time for free.
I've had quite a few piss takers who book 30 mins and always try to overstay, in the end I stop seeing them as the mind fuck just isn't worth it.
I believe a lot depends on which area of the country you work too, I seem to be in an area populated by the 59mins and 59 seconds brigade   :FF  so I definitely feel that that has an effect on the way I deal with bookings.

Many of my bookings run over I always try to be 'up' a minute or so after the hour, some take a long time getting dressed if it's regularly 20 minutes over during which I have made effort to move things along (without which it would have been much longer) then I may work on reducing that. I plan time and my down time, not to mentioned fielding other enquiries is important, it could also be their enquiry too.

Also I do have some clients who themselves voluntarily make sure they are dressed, booking over within the time booked. That is absolutely fine with me!

This is something they never think or care about when they are overstaying, they are preventing you from answering the phone and possibly losing you clients/money in what is in fact our time.

I don't mind them going over a little bit if they are a ok guy but if they are horrible then i do mind. The thing that is annoying though which a few do every now and then if there is 5 mins left i try to hurry them up to get near to coming incase they don't and have had a couple say slow down don't want to cum too soon when there is 4 mins left of the booking that says to me they want extra time without paying. What i say is sure but we only have 4 mins left so if you can cum on demand that is fine.

I don't even think of showering time in my time or there's as so many are out within 2 mins quickest shower ever.

I have never been asked if i am a clock watcher though but maybe them asking can i go again if i cum quick is there way around it. If i did asked about clock watching i probably would not book them in because that says they want more then paid time. If they said do i get my full time that's different.

Yes I think it's more about losing out on other enquiries than begrudging them a shower but some people really do take the mick. I had a client who took forever putting on his shoes and just didn't seem to want to leave despite all my subtle clues. I think some people need to be told more directly as they don't pick up on body language very well.
I need time to relax and unwind before the next appointment and it ruins my mood if someone lingers after their time is up. I'm thinking 'this is *my* time, I want to eat, check my phone, stare into space etc!

Oh god, I’m super strict. With an hour, at 45 minutes I’ll say, “We’ve got about 15 minutes left.” With a half I’ll say after 20 minutes we have 10 minutes left. The few that act put out/grumpy I’ll become so sweet and apologize…..”Did you want to stay longer? You’re absolutely welcome to! An additional hour is X amount! Bright smile. They don’t take me up on it🙄. Shocker.

The very rare few that’ve called me a clock watcher I’ve asked, “Do you work for free at YOUR job?”

Never fails to shut’em up😡.

I wish it was only a few! I think I can probably count on the fingers of one hand the amount of my regs who happily get up and leave satisfied about 10/15 mins before the end of their booking, the rest will take it to the wire.
One even made a comment along the lines of "Oh you've had an early finish" even though he was totally spent and had no more in him, I looked at the clock and he only had 10 mins left anyway and he hadn't even got off the bed and got dressed at that point!
I'm not at the higher price point either, sometimes I do wonder if that's part of the problem and they are just cheapskates.

I find regs want me right up to the last second and then a chat in the kitchen. I do like my men but wow some are so boring.
