I use twitter a lot for work and have to say while it might not bring me in lots of clients, it brings me good clients who pay deposits, tips, wish list gifts etc with no issue or complaints. I think it’s a great tool for work, especially networking with other providers too.

I'm on Twitter but its definitely not great for clients for me. It's sometimes good for content but you need to be uploading a LOT. Like I don't really get many subscribers as cant shoot content at home so dont upload much. But if even 0.5% of my followers subscribed to my content I would be able to shoot more often but they are all miserable freebie hunters.

I'm curious, for those who get clients via Twitter, asking as someone who doesn't have any videos posted/ OF/ doesn't show face, can you actually get genuine client requests without doing all these? I suppose selling online content could/ is very lucrative on Twitter, but what about escorting? I understand you have to be very active on there, repost other's pics, interact with other sw's as well as posting your own pictures etc. Thanks!

I hear you Caledonia, I could do content from home but choose not to so it’s rare I post anything to it but I do find if you’re happy to spend a bit of time each day interacting with other workers and potential clients it can go in your favour. It’s rare I post content or discuss anything sexual and the benefit to me is getting treats off my wishlist or attracting a clients I’ve built a bit of rapport with.

I don’t tour and don’t know if it works well for touring providers but could be worth a shot if you consider you’re likely to get a wider base of followers on twitter rather than people doing a local search on AW.

I think it’ll be individual to everyone and what they want to get from it but it’s not an overnight fix to get clients or subscribers I’d say.

I like using twitter to connect with other sex workers and keep myself updated with events and developments within the industry. Same why I use this forum.

I have got clients from it, but not many, and if your main goal from using twitter is getting clients then the effort/reward ratio is not worth it IMO. I see them more as a positive side effect.

My followers are in the hundreds though not thousands, maybe the clients are queueing up to dm workers with xx,xxx followers!

If you bag a few good clients that’s still a win. I’m in four figures for followers and all I can say is I’ve closed my DM’s to avoid the many when u free/how much for x/what do u do/ let’s get to know each other messages. More followers mean more people who can’t click a link to your ad to find the info there for them  ;D it serves a purpose for me and I’m realistic about not using it to gain lots of clients.

I have the same experience with DMs, I always point to my website requesting they contact me using email or phone call. Many still go on to ask more questions by DM.

I don’t find Twitter very good for scoping new clients however it does help potential clients get an idea about me, on a kore personal level than my AW, so they come via AW, look through my Twitter and then decide to book. Also, it’s a great way of staying connected to regulars without speaking to them all indivually. My model is based heavily on regulars so I find this a very useful way to keep my regs coming back to me / not forgetting me / or keep them booking more often

I saw girls on Twitter since I remember but it always seemed typical American thing to me plus the awareness all of my hard work can vanished any minute if they suspend the account stopped me from doing sth in this direction.

Now I see girls on Insta, but how doest it help to get more clients?

Even having own website I rather link with high end escorts and services (at least in countries I was working, so not with English mentality)
Now as I write I can see it is small minded thinking. So will appreciate some help with breaking my attitude - Why would I need anything more than just an add on a couple of websites.

Thanks!

I find Twitter is great for getting your name & personality out there however you do need to be consistent with it to build up a following - Plus you do need to be careful what you actually put on Twitter as they do sweeps every few months & will suspend accounts that they think are 'spam'; RTing other peoples posts too often, only posting pictures & links to sites or breaching their TOS; Mentioning Escorting or Sex Work alot, having links to sites such as OF/AW in your bio instead of a site such as Linktree or All my links

I would definitely recommend turning off your DMs on Twitter as well - I find alot of the time it's guys just saying 'Hey'/'Hi', unsolicited pictures or DMing you just to tell you how ot they think you are!

In the past I have got a few clients from Twitter - generally speaking when I toured London or thereabouts but not usually elsewhere and I’ve lived in a few different area.

During the pandemic especially initially I got virtual clients but that mostly tailed off, some wewre former London clients.

I have also had those who donated when I asked in the past.

But I have a love-hate relationship with Twitter as it’s very cliquey and those who get most interaction are those who do expensive photo shoots and once again, often London based.

As others have said you do need to put a lot of effort in as well.

Hiya,

Has anyone used twitter to connect with clients?

Yes I have

How has this gone for you?

Terrible haha! I spoke to sooo many guys and only had ONE guy who ended up paying a small deposit.... and then cancelled on the day! Never again   :FF

I know each to their own but IMO, doing it on social media is like going on a dating website soliciting for work. You have to sift thru far more TWs then "normal" lol
