Title: Clients asking prices
Post by: MistressMorgana on 12 November 2016, 01:52:57 pm
It really annoys me when clients ask my rates and I direct them to my profile, which is usually met with hostility.
I reckon if they're asking such a basic question they haven't even read it.
Am I being too harsh?

No you're not.
It's pretty annoying, the rate is at the bottom of my profile clear as day yet some idiots still ask "How much for an hour" I always say "my rates are on my profile." Funny they never seem to reply after that.

It's usually the guys who just call every number available in their area or ones who want a booking there and then and are emailing every escort near them!

I get this daily and it infuriates me  :FF Even had 1 guy other week when he asked me and I said rates are on my profile, he was adament they wernt, so I asked him which profile he was looking at. Turns out it was my viva profile so my rates were on there and to go actually read my profile if he could be bothered and put phone down  :FF

Thank God it's just not me. I got a really abusive text about half an hour ago and it made me question myself.
I'm in a new area and have driven for ages and just feel this kind of abuse is unwarranted. I'll stick to my guns. He was probably pissed off because it never gave him the opportunity to ask other blatantly obvious questions.
Luckily my phone can block numbers as spam.
Thanks girls. This forum is a godsend. X

I have found that if you quote a rate higher than published on your advert they will say "But it says here that it's X!"

To which I would reply, "That's the rate for people who don't ask stupid questions."

Obviously, I had no intention of taking their booking, anyway.

I just tell them. I do advertise in several places where you can't put your rates, and it takes me 5 seconds to tell them. I get more annoyed by the ones who say "It says here you don't do anal. Do you do anal for extra?"

Same here it takes 5 seconds to tell them I don't worry about the small things

I'll generally tell them but if they then launch into 20 questions, what do you do,what's your location, what size are you blah blah blah then yes I'll redirect them to my profile because they are clearly just scrolling past basic info to get the number. I don't have all day to spend on answering the same silly questions over and over again for guys who will never actually book.

They ask what your price is because they want you to do them a deal.

So your response is perfect :)

What you have to remember is that there are many unscrupulous sites copying profiles and your profile on their webpage without prices and this may be where the guys are getting your number.

Yes it can be annoying but you may be doing yourself out of good bookings if you are hostile or hang up on them.

Also worth remembering that on the AW mobile site the rates are on a separate page they have to open. It sometimes takes aaaaaages to open, and yeah, sometimes they just cba!

If a punter is genuine sounding and polite I will always bend over backwards to be polite and helpful its the rude ones who start with "how much" that get short shrift from me.

Bloody good idea. Start charging the guys a higher rate if the don't read profile x

I agree. If they otherwise sound alright I don't mind.

And I second that. It 's when it's the first question they ask.

I always ask where they got my number from.If it's a site where I know the info is right there I'll refer them back to it after answering a 2 or 3 questions or I'll text them the link to my own website.Very rarely do the can't read/won't read brigade get back to me.

They could have seen any one of my adverts and it may have been one that doesn't show my prices. I will always answer polite questions.

I have never ever had a booking from one who called inquiring about rates. NEVER!! They usually say oh ok thank you I'll call back but of course they don't. And yes I do believe they just want you to do them a deal. The response they are looking for is "oh you can't afford that? Too expensive for you is if? Then how much can you afford? Oh ok I'll do you for that " some know damn well how much you charge. I don't waste my time, I just hang up. Why can't they just book a prodtitue they can afford? :FF some even quote your price lower hoping you are dumb. Oh so it's ?30 for the hour yes? You know damn well I don't charge that. Then when I say no it's this amount, they stutter and say " oh ok that's ok I'll still book" but of course it's not ok cuz they were hoping to pay less. I don't even bother sending the address and of course they never call back for it cuz they had no intention of showing.  ::) just Drink Bleach   :FF

That's interesting - I'd say about half of my bookings for new clients start off with an enquiry about my rates. (Possibly because one of my main advertising sources doesn't allow you to publish rates.)

Anyone here get calls from punters where the phone cuts off after a minute? I only realised recently that other websites were taking my Adult Zone (the only place I advertise online) details and giving the guys a premium number to ring. I thought my phone was broke. I reckon it's some sort of safety thing when it cuts off. Not sure.

And MM no, I think it's basic manners to look at profiles to find costs. I know some guys like to chat a bit - as I do - to get a feel for the person on the end of the phone but they can do that by not asking the price.

But then again as someone said - they may be getting your number from a site thats swiped your info and not given the price. About three sites have taken my photo and text and not given my price, but they ALL cut off after a min and they ring me back and I give them my proper number.

They most likely  haven't  read a thing and looking at multiple  profiles.  I've  lost my patience  with  people like that and just ignore them

Yes he says he genuinely cannot read, he contacted me a few times over several years, the last time I spoke to him he started actually tantrumming on me on the phone so I shouted back at him and he became all apologetic. He still calls me now and again but I never answer his calls now.

Usually when I say can't read it refers to the guys who always seem not to be able to load up anything on the internet on their phone but miraculously still manage to get my number!

Thanks I didn't know that it's really useful , although I just tell them , sometimes they're driving and have tried a few numbers I can tell if it's a problem and just say nicely ( rather than them feel awkward and just make a booking they're not going to keep)

"Have a little think and call me back" it gives them a get out and doesn't waste my time either.

I have had men ask me what my rates are on my tour despite being clearly stated on my ads and site. So I quote them a higher rate and only 1 has come back to say but i thought it's X. I've even had a few paying the higher rate which made me feel quite bad for duping them but not bad enough to correct them. The way I see it, it's a tax for those who can't be bothered to read or remember which escort they come across!

I get guys asking prices all the time and mostly it is just to confirm it is ?XXX an hour. If I confirm this price and it is met with 'how much?!' or anything similar I just hang up, if they haven't read the price then they haven't read anything else and I have no desire to meet them. If they simply say 'thank you, my address is...' then they have jumped through my first hoop and are that much closer to seeing me.
