client didn´t pay for my return taxi home
« on: 19 October 2024, 11:06:44 am »
yesterday had a 3h outcall to city centre about 20 min drive from my incall place however i didn´t charge uber to get there because before the meeting, i had to b in town for other things which i would be at walking distrance from the outcall hotel.at the end of our time i asked him to book an uber for me and he looked at me strangely and asked why should he paid for my uber i told him is my policy and written on profile. this was one of my most awkward situations with a client, honestly. at the end i left and took a bus home since he wasn't gonna book it and i can't force him either. every time i've done an outcall, client always offered to book taxi straight away without me asking. this dude during our meet we talked about many topics and complained how his tax is 50% due to his income, which is clear that he earns A LOT. it was a nice hotel too. it bothers me how someone so well off can be so cheap.

what do you think? would you always expect client to pay your return uber home? or do you think it's the escort's responsibility?

No, my outcall prices are higher because they need to cover my travel costs and travel time; I don't travel by car or taxi unless it's absolutely unavoidable though, and never for work. And a punter's income or wealth is none of my business (just like mine is none of his); I don't charge people who earn less lower rates?

Maybe put your outcall rates up if three hours fee isn't enough to cover the extra cost? You could take some as a deposit too :)

My transport is my responsibility and my safety too, I wouldn't be happy if I was relying on the client to book a taxi. I need to be incontrol of my arrival and departure.

Also I think it's only fair to mention requirements and or additional fees up front, when paying for a service most people like to know what to expect.

My travel costs are included in the outcall fee.

I don't Uber a lot so can't say for sure but I think there might be a couple of problems when asking a client to book an Uber:
- He could cancel the trip at any point
- He can see your destination

If I wanted to ask for additional travel fee, I would ask for an Uber gift card.

Since you had it in your policy, he should have paid. I'm guessing he didn't forget to read about all the services he can ask from you but somehow missed the travel fees part.

This was a concern of mine, I have never booked an Uber because of my location I either drive or if heading to a city I may use public transport. But even with a taxi my concern would be the person booking knowing my destination. I guess you could use a different address, but it still could compromise anonymity.

I have also been on the other end, punters who wanted to order a taxi from my incall, some expected me to book it for them or give them the number to call not an issue to be helpful, but if there was a wait some would expect or need to wait in my incall which isn't always ideal because I would want to be getting on with whatever I am doing next. Luckily hasn't happened often.

I think most ladies cover their own transport cost hence why we charge more for outcalls ….

Also if he is booking your can then he will have an address your going to ie your home

It’s a no for me

what do you think? would you always expect client to pay your return uber home? or do you think it's the escort's responsibility?

I think it is strange that YOU expect the client to arrange your getaway vehicle. I'm not surprised he thought it odd.

Just charge more for the outcall and be done with it.

Transport should always be the escort's responsibility.  Never expect the client to book, offer or pay for your ride home or to another destination.  As others have said, raise your outcall rate to include transport.

i already charge about 20 pounds more for outcalls but uber is on top, as specified on my profile. also, it wouldn't cost the same to travel 5 miles than 20 miles hence why it makes sense to charge the client for uber in addition to my escort fee. all previous clients have booked uber for me without me asking for it

it was already raised since before. my main reason to charge more for outcalls is not to cover the transport but hassle of having to travel

The few times I do outcalls I remind them that my rate is higher than my incall rate and that my rate does not include transportation. I make this very clear not only in my profile, but during communications, and I have never had a problem so far.

I have add on fees depending on distance, my minimum outcall covers a certain radius anything outside of that usually has an add on. I list some of these on my profile, and mention it when dealing with enquiries and or accepting the booking.

I get you and your business model.  :) I guess for next time just emphasize to the client that you need travel paid for in addition to the outcall fee as others have posted in this thread.
