Checking a phone number

I have a landline number that I'd like to check. How could I do it?
It's supposed to be an office number. I got the client's mobile, the hotel address and will be able to ring his room one hour before the booking but just want to check the landline he called me from.

Already did. Nothing. I'm thinking IF it was a company they would be online, right?

I might be paranoid, the booking is in Euston and I once had a problem with a huge time waster over there. I don't know, he sounds nice, was happy to answer my questions, he might actually be perfectly ok but I'm just worried.

Anyway, I requested extra information, if he doesn't "comply" I'll know he's trouble.

I think I'm going to cancel.
That means if he's a legit safe client and really did book the hotel I'll be in trouble.
But I just have that gut feeling that he's my former stalker.

If its a company the number you would phone could be different, as usually you get through to a receptionist or operator, so if he phoned on his private office number it might not show.

Just did, withholding my number. He picked up and said his name, the one he gave me. So I guess I'm just paranoid.

I wouldn't be concerned about a landline number in a property I'm not even  visiting. I'm not bothered if he lives in his old Ford Escort or Buck Palace itself.
What matters is that he is at the hotel he said he will be to answer his room phone  before I set off.  :)

Same with me, all I want are mobile number, hotel reservation details and to be able to phone him on the room landline before setting off.

Only time a landline would be a problem would be if that's the only method of contact and it's a payphone.

He was absolutely awesome. He really is a public figure and all that and it was great.
But I'll have to deal with my stalker anyway, I can't freak out just like that.

Well yes, this is what I do as well. But because I though he was that stalker guy I'm avoiding i asked for extra information/security which he then provided.

Anyway, I had an absolutely amazing booking and am seeing him again.
