Changing area- moving out of central London
« on: 23 May 2022, 10:09:51 pm »
Hi girls.

I just want to move out of Central London because rent there just simply killing me and it’s not that busy as used to be  ??? I was wondering if Farnborough will be good area to work from ? I have something to be taken there but because I never worked out of London I don’t have experience with it. Place is lovely, modern building, but it’s about 20 mins walk from Farnborough station so I am not sure if that’s okay ??? Any advice or information about this area will be really helpful xx

While I can’t comment on Farnborough per se, outside of London, things are different in as much as far more people drive and use their cars for every journey.  Many drive to the station if they’re commuting into London (or elsewhere) for work.  Given the reliance on cars, I don’t think being a 20 minute walk from the nearest station will necessarily be a hindrance.

Would it be feasible to take a 6 month contract to see how things work for you? Or maybe even consider touring to test the water first?

I agree about cars vs trains in the suburbs. I used to live just outside London, a 15-minute walk from the station, and 90 percent plus of my clients drove to me.

Everyone drives everywhere so I don't see what the problem would be  :).
