I can only tell you my experience and it works for me. Also, for International bank transfers the bank doesn't try to verify your name at all

I always take bank transfers for deposits an lately I’ve been accepting more bank transfers for the full booking. They put my work name I’ve never had to tell them my real name & I’ve never had an issue

Is this using a business account that allows your real name be hidden? The transactions using personal current tend to show real names on bank statements.

Hi,
I have definitely seen the bank showing a person's real name when the wrong details have been put in. It confirms if you meant this person and shows the real name on the screen.
I'm not sure if it is when there is a slight mismatch compared to a completely different name.

A couple of clients who've paid me by bank transfer (one many times) have later for other reasons down the line badgered me for my real name.  ::)

Nope my normal account, no one has ever referred to me as my real name so I’ve never had any issues. When they’re trying to send it shows up as ‘are you sure’ sort of thing but it’s always been fine x

If you open a buiness account. For example ceris holistic therapy. Wont the clients just get the buiness name not your actual real name?

Not that worried about the actual demand,  I’m more concerned about the push for a cashless society and banks being overly nosey over the use of cash (yes including withdrawals). There is something creepy and uncomfortable about all spending being known and a bank interviewing you about what do you want to do with your own money.

I can see a reduction in punting for a lot of men who don’t want any paper trail on their bank accounts as well as reluctance of many WGs to have their name displayed on a punters bank statement if she uses a current account to take payments.

Like Northstar it really annoys me how my bank ask me whenever I put money into my account "Where did it come from"...And I only put cash in 4 times a year and always below £900. Banks shouldn't have so much power but happy to get our money and make so much from customers. But yes this cashless push could be a big problem but I still pay cash for stuff and actually with money being a issue more people prefer to use cash to keep track of what they spend.

I agree going cashless is much more of a risk to escorting than men's libidos disappearing! Even now casual sex is socially acceptable, there's still more men wanting it than women giving it.

I have hardly been asked this but i remember around covid time i put 1500 into my personal account in cash and one of the bank clerk said to me do you mind if i ask where this is from? I said that's a bit nosey it's not like it's a huge amount. She said oh it's just we are encouraged to ask this every now and again. I said well it's to cover my bills from previous money i earnt from working and i need it in this account.

It's very annoying, i understand if its a large amount over 5k or something then they have to ask for money laundering purposes but goes too far.

If clients want to do a transfer i just give my business name for the transaction.  Alternatively you can request an additional card holder on your business account and use your working name to be embossed on the card (unless your using some sort of outrageous porn name lol)

Very good idea, thank you!

Alternatively set up some business account so punters statement only show the company’s name. However the company services and it’s nature need to kind of match the payments received.
