Business Tactics for the Olympics
« on: 02 May 2012, 10:41:37 pm »
Hi girls ! I just wanted to start a discussion about  business during the Olympics.
Personally right now i'm working on new content for my AW profile, working on redoing my website, booking a new professional shoot soon. And Expanding the amount of sites I'm advertising on.

I was hoping we could discuss other interesting Ideas on the forum.

Most importantly are any of you considering raising your rates during the games ?

While this..

.. all sounds good, does anyone really think there is such a shortage of escorts in London that a price rise is viable? If someone does have an Olympic premium, they'll a) piss off their existing clients and b) not necessarily attract tourist ones.

It's not like the rained-off golf event that Paris did so well at...

'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Also i was wondering how much of an increase in clients everyone is expecting. Ive never worked through an event of this size. So i have no idea what to expect.

If i did an "olympic Premium" per se Id definitely see my regulars at my older rates.

Personally I'm not expecting an increase in clients at all - most of my work is outcalls to out of towners here on business and some incalls to locals.  I lot of people will come with their families and therefore seeing an escort is out of the question unless they sneak off for a quickie while the wife is shopping, and a lot of my local clients are going away and renting out their London places

I think any increase in demand will be negated by an increase in supply by girls coming in to London from all over UK/Europe

Personally I plan to be out of London during the games!

I agree with this - many of my London clients are getting out of Dodge for the duration, and I can't see any sense at all in putting rates up when competition will be so fierce and many will have special offers on.

If you don't think your fees are high enough, just put them up anyway - using the Olympics as an excuse just smacks of the sort of people who'll be flogging mini bottles of water for a fiver each to take advantage of the visitors, and I can't see it reflecting on you very well.

Well I think it was, but then I don't do bareback or OWO and as far as I'm concerned everybody is treated the same no matter where they're from (ie as if they're all riddled with the virulent galloping pox :D).

I remember having a similar discussion with a lady I know a couple of years ago who refused to see punters from SSA countries. She blanched a bit when I reminded her that the last World Cup was in South Africa, and if she wrote off every English bloke who could possibly have travelled over (no doubt only to practically sever his own head with his bare hands when Capello brought Heskey on against Germany) she'd be, well, skint.

Hi there

I wouldn't raise my rates for such an event, but then I feel my rates are at a level where it's not feasible to raise them.  In this economic climate I personally wouldn't think it wise, however I don't know what your rates are so I can't really comment.

With regards to rates, it's what you feel is right for you.  I don't see how an event can have any bearing on what we should/shouldn't charge although of course you can use it as a marketing tool with the theme of the event of course, such as the football where girls will have pics taken in football outfits etc etc.

There's been a lot of adverse publicity regarding prostitution and the Olympics recently, although this was more in reference to trafficked girls from abroad, so perhaps raising ones rate wouldn't go down too well but as I always say here, it's entirely your decision as we all market ourselves in different ways.

Who knows if we will be busier or quieter?  Perhaps your outlay on a pro shoot won't be necessary as you will be busy anyway?  Worth thinking about.

Good luck

Hi girls,

I just have a quick question...I was considering going away for the Olympics on a Holiday but it just ocurred to me that Olympic time will mean heaps of extra clients. Just want to check what you all think. Is it worth staying in London for the Olympics (i.e there will be lots of extra clients and cash?)

I expect that most people who come to see the Olympics, come to see the Olympics! Plus after paying for the Olympics tickets and the ?5 bottles of water they won't have any money left.
