Brothel???
« on: 30 April 2021, 11:24:18 pm »
Hey everyone,
I own an apartment and I am an escort. I want to rent out my rooms when I’m not working.
How many girls are legally allowed to work from my place at one time?
I was under the impression it was 2 because people do duos etc. but Google seems to say only one.
What is the actual law for this?

Thanks in advance

Yes it's only legal for one person to work there

The law states only 1 person can work there and that does not mean 1 different lady per day or every other day for example.

If you worked there say Monday and Tuesday and your friend worked there Wednesday that is classed as a brothel.

So basically any landlady also renting there property out to more then 1 lady knowing it's used for sex is also breaking the law.

Yes.

As I understand it doesn't have to be same day or same time, so touring lets are the same.

If you as the landlord denied all knowledge of what the girls were doing then technically, it’s not you OP breaking the law.

Whether the police will care is a different matter. You are certainly less likely to attract attention with just one lady there at a time than 2.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

That would only work if police were not that interested in taking it any further. If they did though they can fully investigate, interviews, statements, checking devices. All big IF's though.

Always best to know the law beforehand then the choice is yours to risk.

even subletting  to one person means that the flat would be considering a brothel and of course, you'd be liable under controlling for gain laws too.

Yes subletting to other sex workers is ilegal, however... getting noticed by the police will depend on your neighbours and how long it takes them to figure out whats going on. As an indie you can get away with but the moment you have pretty younger ladies and guys coming in and out they will figure out right away. Even if the apartment is yours this situation can even affect your own work as an indie so I wouldn;t risk it. I know of a lady who did the same thing and got a caution. You don't want that.
