I have had a few weeks off escorting which has probably done me a world of good. However, I have now returned and put my hours in. I am working today 10am-5pm.

I say I can do Glasgow and Edinburgh (based in Edinburgh), but to PLEASE give at least two hours notice to come through to Glasgow as I don't drive. Some clients can accommodate this, others can't (there isn't much work in Edinburgh so agreed to do Glasgow too). Two of the staff are great and accept this, there is one though who is really pissing me off and he's done it again.

I get ONE hours notice to go through and see someone in Clydebank!! That's miles away!! I said to him nicely that it was unacceptable as he knew the score when I agreed to do Glasgow since I don't have a car at present. I am so angry as it looks bad for me and unreliable.

I don't know whether to chat with the owner who I get on well with, as this is ridiculous. I am not just some pizza delivery you can click your fingers to, and the other two workers know this and warn clients who may wish to book that I am based in Edinburgh and don't drive.

Since I will be leaving Edinburgh (finishing uni) at the end of September, there isn't much point in me now going indie as I will be going back to stay with Mum until I know what I want to do with my life and where I will be located.

It's making me look unreliable and lazy and I am far from it. Until I get a car, there is nothing I can do.

Is it worth having a word? The owner has been really good before and reassuring.

thats the trouble when you commit to an agency then want you to be available asap! they don't seem to understand you cant get to place asap, i guess they just think of the money!

Yeah say something to the owner as that person doesn't seem to be understanding.

That is just it with agencies they boss about and if kickoff too much they fire. Just being realistic here. They are thinking about money at the end of the day the first thing on their mind. Where as being independent wouldn't have this problem.

In all fairness though, I haven't really had this trouble before. It's just this one bloody worker! He is doing my nut in. The lady was on that morning and someone tried to book me for one hour 15 miles away. She asked him to give me 30 minutes to get there or a longer booking, as it costs loads in a taxi but he refused. Fair enough. Just this guy who's the issue. Spoke to the owner, and he's said he will have a word.

It can be the same as an independent and I'm guessing this agency is receiving short notice requests from clients. As an agent however it's not fair to pass this stress on, they are being paid to remove the stress and hassle of the stuff an indie does.

I dont think you should feel that you would be seen as being lazy or unreliable. A good piece of advice I have seen being given on this forum and really stuck with me is not to worry or stress about what you think other people may or may not be thinking. Its an impossible task and is....stressful.
Why not just ask them? They knew your situation before hand as you told them so I can see your confused as to why they would ask that of you? You can ask them if turning down or being late for a booking like that ( as those are the only two outcomes) would make you lazy or unreliable? And if they say it does then what do they suggest you do about it bearing in mind your circumstances? If they have any sense they would have to agree that it wouldn't.
If they say it does, then yep thats an issue.

Hope you sort it out
