Advice on possible client!
« on: 15 July 2013, 11:45:43 am »
A guy has been emailing me a couple of times on AW, asking to go for lunch. He said he will pay normal fee and when i said i was i'd have a think and get back to him, he even said he would make a deposit into my account prior to the meet. All for lunch in a public place? It just seems a little odd, I was wondering what anyone else would do?  ???

I've had social meets like this, granted not many but they've still happened. Sometimes the guy has just wanted to see how comfortable he feels with a prostitute, sometimes he just feels odd going straight in for the kill - after all society brings us up to expect to get to know a potential sexual partner. It's always been fine but I do apply my usual screening and security rules and do go along knowing there's a risk it could be a set up. I chose somewhere not to far away, and always get the fee within the first 5 mins - they've always brought it in the form of a card with the cash inside, which I've been able to discretely check.

If he seems legit, then I'd follow Strawberry's advice and go for it. A deposit is nice, but ensure it's definitely gone through (i.e. make sure it's in your account and non-refundable.). I've heard of guys sending screenshots or other 'evidence' that they've sent money through, the appointment happens, and then it transpires that the money wasn't sent at all or has been clawed back somehow.

It depends on where the line is between 'unusual' and 'odd' for you. If you're not comfortable, because it's the latter, it's unlikely to be a good experience for either of you.

If you are worried about being scammed, have a search for 'deposit' here to see some other ways to get money up front. With Amazon vouchers, all the sender needs to know is an email address, not bank account details, for example.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Thanks guys! Really helpful. He does seem very nice and genuine, I think its purely a comfort thing for him. I wanted to see if anyone else had been in that situation.
Thanks for the advice! :)
