Title: booking request and deposit timing
Post by: mySecret on 12 September 2017, 06:16:47 am
good morning! :)
i am asking a deposit in order to book.
So i was wondering how you manage communication about it to client.

They ask for the booking date/duration/time, then i confirm that i can be available so i ask to pay the deposit to confirm.
Many they are paying deposit immediately, so this is great!

my issue when they do not immediately, so i do know how to explain to them they should pay it asap to avoid that i got other booking same day/time/hrs...i won t to look pushing but i can not wait like 2 days...because i could have other requests and then..(i hate to wait)

yesterday i said to client to pay asap to avoid that i am not available anymore, maybe there is a best way to explain it without look pushing! i should give them a delay like 12hrs???
what you think? how you do?

last time i canceled one because i didn t receive deposit after 6hrs from the request ... to me sounds not genuine...
just for info i ask to pay by amazon voucher so quite easy to pay...

I would word it like this:
"Please be aware that until the deposit is made, the time slot is still open, so please pay as soon as possible so that I can reserve it for you."

I've had this problem so this is what I do;

I ask the client when they think they will be paying the deposit, if they say tomorrow and it's bank deposit I tell them to contact me tomorrow for bank account details. If it's Amazon voucher I tell them that the appointment is only theirs once I've received it, I also advise that if there's any delay in paying, they need to check back with me that their appointment is still available before making the deposit.

Some claim to have sent deposits and want to send screen shots, as far as I'm concerned the deposit is not received until I see it at my end, on my equipment. I few have sworn blind they've paid it, and it never arrives. One did this 4 days in a row for a future booking, twice by bank, twice by Amazon. Never arrived ::)

Some have promised me they are making the deposit and will let me know if they change their mind, and never do.

I am strict and if they don't make the deposit in the time they say they will, then I will give the appointment away.

If this ends up double booked which is rare I either refund, or agree a different day.

Perfect, please see my post for some of the things that I've heard over the years..........that's just a snippet.

Also if someone says they are definite, paying the deposit, and agrees to tell me if they cannot make it and they don't, they go down as a TW just as anyone who doesn't confirm their appointment. I've sometimes even said "Do you want to think about it and phone back in ten minutes?", "Noooo definite". I give bank details then either get a message 2 minutes later cancelling, or never hear from him again!

I found this thread so rather than start a new one I wanted to say

Guys really arnt interested in paying me a deposit in credits to secure a booking.
They turn up and pay .I had asked some before hand they just stated they don't need to do that.
I felt embarrassed to be honest  I won't ask for this again !
Glad it does work for other ladies though .

If you mean AW credits it's against the AW rules to use credits for deposits or payment for bookings.

Yes many won't pay, which is why I make it clear in my adverts not to contact me unless you are prepared to do so.

Last couple of days I've woken to find someone thrusting a deposit at me for a booking, one travelling from an area where there are many other Escorts to chose from, most of whom don't require a deposit. He even sent far more than I'd ask for.

I am not going to argue with that!

I have started to ask for deposits on occasion and I may try to do it more often. I wanted to ask, do you say the deposit is non-refundable? I took one before and said it was definitely non-refundable, because otherwise why bother? I guess to be fair if they cancel / no show then they don't get it back but if it was ME who cancelled, I would refund them then. I really don't see the point in taking a deposit if it's given back to them if they cancel.

And are you taking deposits for bookings that are made through AW? Surely there might be a feedback issue if someone cancels. Having said that, I guess anyone paying a deposit is very unlikely to cancel? I like the idea of deposits and it's interesting to see how you ladies do it. Anything that reduces stress and increase likelihood of someone turning up at the right time sounds good to me!

:)

Before I take the deposit I state it is unrefundable if the client cancels or makes significant changes.

I take a deposit from all new clients, no matter how they make the booking. Some do still cancel, but it's a lot less and as in my previous post I have some compensation.

Yes, makes sense. Thank you Mirror  :)

No problem some clients voluntarily pay their whole fee as the deposit. The important thing is to be professional about it, if you cancel the deposit must be returned immediately or an alternative date offered.

Also be aware some transfers and Amazon vouchers can take time to appear, especially if coming from a foreign bank account. I won't accept screen shots as proof, it has to be in my account. Most of the time however they only take a few minutes, and of course cash into bank or shop bought vouchers are instant.

Absolutely, of course if it was me that cancelled I would refund in full immediately and try to rearrange. I can't imagine many guys paying a deposit and wanting to lose it so I'm definitely going to work this in from now on.

Can I just check ladies, i'm assuming this is deposit for outcalls only?  Or are you taking deposits for incalls too?

Thanks.

I would LOVE to ask for deposits due to what's been happening recently. Instead I asked for all new clients to make a booking on AW. Can't even get them to do that most times :(

I ask for a deposit or the whole amount for new punters as otherwise I get let down. I find if they do it immediately or within the hour they are obviously genuine but when they start faffing about saying oh I can't do a bank transfer, it how do I do that? or I don't have PayPal or I'm too busy at the moment or can't get online, can I just do it tomorrow, then they ain't gonna sort it out and are just wasting my time. I had this just yesterday actually. I knew he wasn't going to sort it out and he was demanding a lot of my time with texts, calling me after I'd said I couldn't talk so to text instead. When I did speak to him he gave a very strong vibe of being a timewaster and of course no money was paid and then he started calling me much later also. Apparently he will sort it this morning but I don't think so somehow and have lost interest in seeing him full stop due to his overall attitude and way of doing things. Also they seem to think they have a choice and say erm well I think I'm going to pay you in cash when I get there. Erm no, you don't get it, either you sort out a deposit or you don't get to see me. I've asked you, it's clearly stated on my profile. Some are well aware of it and faff saying okay give me your details and I'll sort it out and then nothing. Every so often one will slip the net as my radar tells me he will genuinely turn up and luckily he does but mostly the deposit thing works and keeps away the no shows and idiots. The one time recently I didn't get around to asking I regretted it as it was my first look, grope and go after he'd booked for an hour. That wouldn't of happened had I asked for a deposit. I was fuming. Even my regulars have no problem if I tell them to pay via bank transfer before the booking just cos it saves me a trip to the bank later. I will accept cash off them too but it's just easier for me and they are cool with it. But new clients always need to pay a deposit preferably at the time of booking whether that be four days before or what. Definitely I like it at the very latest the day before so I can be sure what I'm doing the following day and am not waiting around on the day to see if they bother or not. For cheap quickies I ask for the full amount paid usually it's just before the booking as those bookings tend to be made on the day. At the end of the day if they are really concerned, won't do an online transfer or don't use PayPal, they can simply walk into a bank with your details and pay cash which leaves no paper trail. It's not difficult.

I was thinking the other day about them using pay safe vouchers for a deposit if I request,
