Body Hair?
« on: 25 November 2015, 04:25:33 pm »
I am a total newbie to forums in general so unsure if I'm posting/asking in the right place but here goes!

I am a hipster feminist and considering sex work/escorting... I've read through all the saafe pointers and feel a bit more forearmed! The only thing is I don't remove any of my body hair, think hairy legs and full 70s bush! Also I have no interest in starting to remove hair... Is this compatible with sex work? Could I advertise this as some sort of niche??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There is certainly a niche demand for bush. While some clients may dislike it, a fair few will seek it out. Some others, of course, don't care.

Leg hair... not sure. I've not heard of that as a specific thing. I think women have been shaving their legs for quite a while and so there isn't a generation of guys who grew up on hairy leg porn the way there is one that grew up on bushy porn.

If you absolutely do not want to shave your legs, then don't. If you are ambivalent about it, then I think your decision could come down to how hairy your legs are. I could grow my leg hair out and it wouldn't be a huge deal. My hair is very pale, not too coarse, and not too thick. In fact, I never even bother shaving above my knees as there's hardly any hair there. But if I didn't shave my lower leg it would be visible and they could feel it even though I wouldn't have so much hair as to look masculine. I have seen women with lots of coarse, curly hair and it doesn't look "feminine." Clients may feel stongly about this.

If your feminist politics are such that shaving feels like giving into the patriarchy, I hope you brace yourself for some of what prostitutes are routinely subjected to. That is, a stream of calls and emails from entitled twats who are absolutely objectifying you. I've had men say they want to fuck me because I look like their sister-in-law or because they've never "had" someone of my nationality. There are men who will fixate on one part of your body to the point that if the rest of you left the room they probably wouldn't notice or care. There are men who will request that you dress up according to some fantasy image in your head or even role play a particular persona that may or may not be offensive to you. Very few clients are interested in us as entire people - they are paying for the privilege of not doing so. Don't get me wrong: the vast majority of the men I meet in person are perfectly nice guys who sincerely wish to have a mutually enjoyable, no-strings encounter of convenience. Quite a few of them seem to find my personality and opinions interesting. But I have to sift through a LOT of calls and messages from men who don't seem to see me as human.

I was working once as hairy girl and was queit busy but it would be nice if you put a pictrue with your pubic are and advertise it. Most girls are shaved.
I am blond so I don't shave my legs, pussy only, and nobody really minds. You can try it, it might work.
He came in the morning and woke me up with killer instinct. Wish I could stop this now.

There are definitely men who miss pubic hair, so I'd make that one of your USPs and play it up in the marketing.

Leg hair might be a step too far for some, especially if it's dark/dense, but again, there are some men who would really go for it. I think so long as you're honest in your text and show accurate photos there will definitely be some work for you.

As Fabs says though, be prepared for some objectification.

Thanks for the replies!
Glad to know the bush would be looked on favourably by some at least!
I'll have to see how it goes re:the legs (they are dark and noticeable but not harsh and scratchy - def more willing/open to removing lower leg hair than any other though).

As far as objectification goes I think I perversely enjoy it somehow? (Who knows how long that would last under working conditions) I love to wear red lipstick and tight/short clothes whilst arguing the toss about equality/social justice (on my own time obvs - hopefully I understand fully that a person is not going to hire me to argue about social justice! LOL).

I'm currently working in a window less office and dreaming of doing something more interesting with my time! I love sex and everything I've read says that most clients are nice/normal people... So we'll see!

Thanks again for the replies!

Yeah, I give the enjoying about a week before the novelty wears off ;D.

Why somebody's choices in clothing and personal grooming would inform their views on anything is definitely a question for another forum, but I would agree that banging on about the latter during bookings is unlikely to go down well.

I know you've made it really clear you understand this, but I'm just pointing it out because in my experience people can often do this (including in things like their marketing material) unasked and without realising it.

Oh, and the only part I shave is my lower legs and I do just fine :).

Yes it is :) I echo what the others have said re leg hair, however, if you can withstand the comments you will get from the non-hair lovers then you will probably be OK! Get yourself a website which shows and tells exactly what you have, and entice the hirsuite lovers to sample your wares. Get yourself onto niche and fetish forums and chat/promote etc, and think about making clips/pics to sell to the guys who like to look rather than touch.

I think that most men like a lady to at least move their leg hair and armpit hair but having said that, there is a space for everyone in this business. The fact that you are different from everyone else means that those punters who do have a kink for body hair on a lady will be queuing up to see you.

Leg hair and arm pit hair aside......hardly any woman these days have a full on bush down below and I think loads of guys particularly those who were having sex in the 70's and 80's really miss this.

I see requests for ladies who are NOT shaven down below all the time.

Just make sure you as clear as you possibly can be on your profile and have a few pictures so that people can see for themselves incase they have dick brain and don't read through your advert.

I hate shaving so I don;t shave anything anymore. I get leg, underarm and full bikini waxes. This means that sometimes parts of me are totally smooth and other times (just before a wax) they are hairier - and the different bits of me are never in sync! I change my profile according to how my bikini line is. If my legs are ready for waxing I wear either stockings or thigh socks - most guys like these anyway.

I hate shaving too but I shave literally everything every single day even on my days off as I feel unclean for some reason if I don't, I just feel yucky.

Naturally my hair is dark blond/lightest brown so I don't have thick, coarse hair which means I don't get any shaving rashes or anything.

I always feel better nice and smooth.

Shaving irritated my skin so much and I got loads of bumps and ingrown hairs all the time - to the point where one client asked if I had a disease!
Waxing is so much easier and I can do it every few weeks rather than every day. Have never had any complaints about hair.

It's as unlikely that the people who remove their body hair are going to see punters who like women who don't as it would be for me to see one who preferred it all gone, so us all just saying that our clients like it the way we have it is stating the bleeding obvious just a bit :). They wouldn't be handing over wedges of money if they didn't - they'd book Flossie up the road who has her hair (or lack of it) some different way.

For this reason if no other and as with so many things, it's completely futile doing anything regarding your appearance because you think 'all' punters will like it and not because you want to. 'All' punters don't like anything, and if you approach it from the opposite starting point and do whatever because YOU like it, the punters who agree will find you all by themselves :D.

Thanks for the replies!

I love my body hair and will be keeping for the foreseeable future (at only my own discretion)!
I will make sure to make all descriptions clear going forward, as this seems to be the biggest takeaway point!

Thanks again! x x x

I ditched the prepubescent child look years and years ago and only (to my face at least) get good feedback.

Being like everyone else is never as good as being your own unique package.
