STD
« on: 15 January 2018, 09:37:47 pm »
Hi,

I?ve always read posts over the past year on here, I never thought my first post would be this!
I have  check ups regularly and offer very vanilla services. Anyway recently I felt a lump on my bikini area, i went to the Clinic and they said it could be Genital Warts but it?s very small (only a two times bigger then a full stop). They can?t be sure but it?s probably likely. I?ve been given a cream to apply to the area for three days, four days off etc.
And told to go back if it doesn?t improve within a Month, obviously I?m not going to do any SW now as i would hate to pass this on as it?s skin contact that condoms don?t protect from. I know this isn?t a death sentence, and your body eventually will get rid of the virus. But obviously I am upset, has anyone else experienced this? If you don?t want to discuss via here please PM me, just would be good to know what others have done in my situation.

Thank you
Xxx

I've not experienced this, but I've heard genital herpes is quite common. Also, I've had lumps when I've had an irritation or just gone at it too heavily. It's totally your choice, but you don't have to quit sex work, as you're not even sure whether it is indeed genital warts.

I've never had one but did have something similar , tiny little bump right on inner lip , I thought it might be an ingrown hair so poked it about with a pin and surgical spirit ( nearly hit the ceiling ) Mr GP telling me off , anyway off to Drs next morning , got a bollocking for poking it .

She just said it was an ingrown hair from shaving , gave me some cream , because I'd pocked it and it went from . To the size of a pea , I did panick though and it wasn't anything  :)

Warts of all kinds are very common, most people who have the genital wart virus have no visable warts, if they are warts, then you are one of the unlucky ones.  There really is no way of avoiding it in this business. HPV is very common, most of us will never know we have had it or show any symptoms.

It could well just be an ingrown hair or spot, I have had these in the past and worried over nothing.  Time will tell, but I really wouldnt worry,

Warts are HPV not herpes (HS1 & HS2).

I would say, best to discuss with doctors if you have any concern or look online.

Genital warts (a strain of non-cancerous human papillomavirus)are generally highly contagious.  Does it have a cauliflower type appearance?  One can usually tell by the distinct appearance.
