Today I answered a withheld number.
{
I do this to request them to call from a non-withheld number. A lot subsequently do, so for me it's worth it}
He said this was a friends number. I explained about the new law that requires Escorts to see the number calling them.
(Yes a lot of caller believe this)He said he was out of credit and said I could call him back.
I'm fine about that. He then gave me his 'apparent' mobile number.
I phoned him back and the first two times a voicemail says:
"You have been connected to Like a mobile. Please leave a message"He picked up 3rd time. He had very poor English so I couldn't verify the my services
So the enquiry went no further.
I did some research and found that mobile phone companies provide a voicemail facility
where the number looks like a mobile number (07---), but it isn't actually a mobile number.
It just accesses voicemail.
>>>Like here<<<I can't find anything called:
Like a mobile though.
Also, on the third call, he answered, seeming to rule out the voicemail mobile mimic service.
Thoughts anyone?
Oh this is not a big deal as my verification requests them to call from a "Staging point"
near to where I work. And a T/w would just use a throwaway SIM,
or more usually their normal phone number. It's just a bit curious for me.
Also this number wouldn't receive a MMS I sent either.
