What is the best central area to work in London ( mostly for daytime bookings) ?

I used to have good daytime bookings around Kensington. x

I used to be very busy in the daytime, especially lunchtime when I had a flat near old street station

Really? I currently around there for a while and despite late night jobs it’s almost 0 daytimes..

Yes, I worked in Kensington briefly years ago and left early because it was dead during the day and they all wanted bookings at midnight (plus the punters who did book and turn up were horrendous)

I'm not far from Old Street/Moorgate and I can normally get my days money made before 6pm, although Fridays can be hit and miss. I find tourists make an area look busy but don't punt much - I suppose a lot are with families.

There's also Paddington, which used to be popular although it wouldn't be my choice.

What about Oxford street, Marylebone, Marble Arch, Mayfair? Has anyone tried it?
I also heard that Paddington is good.
City would definitely be good but it would be my last option because I have good regulars in west end.
I like working everyday. If I don’t have late pre bookings can wait few nights per week it doesn’t bother me at all especially if it’s weekend. I just don’t like waiting every night
