Insist on payment in Euros?

You certainly don't want to accept payment in anything that you can't recognise as fake or worthless. Does the central bank of Turkey have anything on spotting fakes on its website?

20 seconds with Google later... tcmb.gov.tr/yeni/eng/

It'd be good if it were on fewer pages and had more pictures, but there are two sets of banknote designs that are currently valid, plus notes on what to look for in terms of fakes. Get used to recognising Atat?rk :)

Ah, they're being silly with their website.

tcmb.gov.tr/yeni/egm/ing/banknotesmain.htm

The pens will detect some fakes, but not all. The same applies to UV lights.
