I'm amazed some of you are handing over money to completely unknown entities! Perhaps at least wait a month or so to see if they're still around?

I think it is better to wait a month or two to see if bedpage can be trusted. It isn't easy when making claims. I was scammed 3 grand a year ago. I won it after a fight and a half, this was after a lot of tears.

They have changed thier Charge back rules since I last claimed. Just saying be cautious especially with paypal. As when you try to claim and they investigate you will lose paypal and the lost money into thin air.

Exactly Kay,

We as escorts can't be desperate to risk being scammed?. Safety comes first and now bp has gone the scammers will prey on every escort feeding off thier desperation unfortunately.

I'm going to go around next door soon meeting a neighbour for a cup of tea with my bf. In the mean time I'll dry up the dishes. Phew.... I'm so glad to not be caught up in this panic mayhem.

What i find truly veeery strange about this whole bedpage thing is the dot com ending. I mean... slixa.com (for ej), one popular escort site in the US just changed their domain yesterday for slixa.ch (a swiss domain). Voila! wasy breezy and end of the problem. It takes one phone call from the FBI to ICANN to put a dot com domain website down. Bedpage.com had spend soo much money and effort creating a worldwide directory, a SEO campaign for "bedpage the alternative of backpage" etc.. I cant believe these people (whoever they are) were so stupid as to now know about dangers of hosting it under a dot com.

The credits were free not paid for I believe so no money has been handed over by most?
But I seriously doubt at this time it's going to be of too much use alot of clients won't be using Twitter etc to follow developments in the wake of back Page and it's not ranking highly on searched here yet. I may work but I have severe doubts on bedpage, I can't see anyway of it coping or not being dragged under.

I'll try asking my regs which other sites they are now using to find escorts and for what it's worth will post the results. One in mind told me he didn't even know the main directories even existed and was only aware of Backpage  ::)

Paris posted some really good advice about what to do to gain clients for us heavily reliant backpage users.

I googled the usual ebony escort terms and Kommons comes up quite high, but from what I have read on here - it is just lifting profiles from other sites.

You guys are all right about not rushing to use unknown sites that require your debit/credit card details. The last thing I want is a draught plus fraud on my account  >:(

Bedpage is working properly for me now. But not Ebackpage.

I share the opinion that many have expressed that we should not invest money in:

  • unstable websites,
  • websites that seem to repeat the same mistakes as Backpage,
  • websites that have no (or very few) punters.
