Banners

Hi all,

I'm probably just being dumb or over complicating it but how do you make a banner on your site to then exchange with the sites you're gonna advertise on? I've got one of those moonfruit sites. Any help would be appreciated!!

Do you have access to the HTML (the underlying code) or is it WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get) ?

Banners are just an image, so if you have any image creating software, your half way there, banners are usualy 480px wide by 60px high

If not, there are quite a few free online banner creators around, Google is your friend here, while not earth shattering, it would at least give you something to get started

Html doesn't work on moonfruit and I'm sure the techy guys can tell you why.

I used mybanner.com and got a decent looking result, then my much valued buddy, edited it for me to make it look more professional.

What Cassie said, my banner dont work on moonfruit either. Doesnt matter much cause the only way to reach my webby is thru the main sites, which is on my banner. Either way, it pisses me off moonfruit doesnt use html. Pisses me off!

Moonfruit uses flash instead of html. It should still be possible to insert an image with a link, but I've never used the interface so I can't say.

I'm with cassie, i know a few people who have used mybanner and had no problems.  I'm sure that if you have managed to put together a whole website you will do fine with making a banner.

My banner was created automatically when i made my site.... i should use it really and put it somewhere maybe  :D

Yes, sorry i should have given a bit more detail, once you have made your banner save it to your pc, then youcan quite easily insert the banner as flash image, just as you do with your pics, then set the alt tag and set the link to your own intro page.

It's just a bit of a different way to doing html inserts.

Hey all, get me! Giving webtechy advice. Who would have ever though that possible.  :D :o

Ah Shit!  I used to rely on you being as clueless about these things as me... now i will have to look dumb on my own!  or i could pay attention, concentrate and learn a bit about techy stuff....  that aint gonna happen though is it?  looks like im on my own then.

So little Ms Techy... as I have a banner i have never done anything with, what do you suggest?
