Do you think it’s okay to give my bank details just my sort code and account number too potential paypigs to send me money? I prefer this method of payment as it’s instant and I can see the money in my account straight away and don’t really like to use PayPal as it can take a few days to come through sometimes. But I’m worried about someone using my details. Is there anything realistically they can do with my bank details? Anyone have experience with this?

In theory no, although direct debits could be set up.
Years ago people wrote cheques containing sort code and account number, some still do.
Just be aware of confirmation of payee which may reveal the name on your account, or at the minimum flag up a warning the name does not match - I advise payees that so long as the sort code and account number is correct the payment will go to the right place.

In my experience, it does reveal your name, which meant I was outed once. I won't make that mistake again.

I had direct debits set up once and never realised for ages as it was not my main account. Luckily i got the money back from my bank. I had it done ages ago from a client plus another sex worker had did it too. So i don't give out any bank details to any individuals associated to this industry.
Plus now they need your full real name anyway to stop it going to a wrong account.

I would personally use Cashapp or get them to send Amazon or other gift vouchers for a first tribute.
There are a lot of scammers out there in the guise of "potentials" - whether pay pigs or sugar daddies.
