Advice on bleeding
« on: 30 August 2014, 10:07:54 am »
Hi, firstly just want to say what a great site! I've been escorting now for 8 months and so pleased I've found this!

I wanted to ask some advice on vaginal bleeding, I had 3 jobs on sat night, which all went well, no problems at all, then didn't do another one until Thursday evening. I woke up yesterday morning and went to the toilet and I was bleeding. I'm not due to come on my period, and have never bled or spotted In between in my life! I'm not in any pain, nor does it feel like a period, there isn't enough to have to use a tampon, but everytime I go to the toilet and wipe, there is quite a lot of blood.
Any advice any of you can give me, and if anyone else has experienced this would be much appreciated!
Obviously if it carries on I know I'm going to have to get it checked out, tried googling it and came back with the usual cancer stuff (I'm a sucker for self diagnosis!!) just thought I'd check with you ladies first.

Hi

Sometimes if you have a very bad kidney infection you can get blood in your urine. But you are describing it as it has a lot of blood.
If I forgot to take the pill I would get a very light period.  You need to go to a working girl clinic or another STI clinic.

Good luck
Elaine

Thanks Elaine,

I'm not on the contraceptive pill so that rules that out, there is quite a bit when I wipe, but not enough to actually need a pad or tampon. I'm going to give it a day or two and if it carries on I'll go to a clinic. I was just hoping it was going to be a common problem, not sure if it's connected to this job or not though.

Could be cervical erosion, which is 'normal' and can happen after lots of sex.

Our bodies change as we age that can apply for the menstrual cycle as well. I came on a few times during bookings. The pain isn't always there the whole time but can still have a period.

Goggling symptoms is a bad idea enough to send any one crazy with all the bad things. For the best is to go gum clinic or see a gp for an accurate reason or it is just a guessing game like it could be this or that...  No hang on it is some thing else, then think no that isn't right it is definitely this.

Sometimes it can be caused by thrush inside the vagina. A few years ago my partner has a scare with her ex because she thought she had a sti as she was bleeding after sex. She went to get tested and it was just a yeast infection. Super common and so easily treated as you probably know!

I've had it a couple of times but I think it's usually been after rough sex. If anything is going on with my lady parts that has not cleared up within 24 hours I go to the GUM.

Also a few weeks ago I panicked as I was bleeding, I don't have monthly periods as I'm on the pill. Turned out I had a scratch inside. Very painful! Obviously your best bet is to go to the doctor, but don't panic, it could be anything. Google always tells you frightening things.

Thanks for the advice ladies  :)

I'll give it the weekend and if it's still the same on Monday I'll get it checked out. Looks like it's a handjob and blowjob only weekend!! :P

When did you last have a smear test? You should ask for one just to check things out.

I have random bleeding but I'm being investigated for endometriosis and I have PCOS so it's normal for me.

It could be cervical erosion which will clear on it's own and just caused by too much friction.

Might be a tear, but I'd get it checked out anyway - at least for peace of mind.

I am due a smear, so I will get that arranged ASAP! Still bleeding it hasn't got any heavier, it's just the same, so I'll ring the clinic in the morning and book an appointment. I'm always the one who nags everyone else to get checked out, but when it comes to myself I'm terrible.

I've had a second abnormal smear result come back and I'm due to go for a colposcopy. I'm only 25 and had my first test at 20 because I lived in Germany at the time where they do them early. I bleed a lot after/during sex sometimes so I have to use a sponge at all times. The pain is pretty horrific and I'm now panicking about going for further test.

I waited for ages to book to go for a smear again as I wasn't 'due' for one. I'm glad I did though. So just pop along to the GP and get it done, being healthy and looking after yourself shouldn't be put off.
