Bad review - will this affect the amount of work I get?
« on: 07 January 2015, 03:53:39 pm »
Hi guys.

I unfortunately have had a very bad review. And I am worried it will mean I will not get any bookings. How do you reply to such feedback. The review is completely false and I am sure of it. What do I do? I am very worried.

Depending on what other reviews say, it may be screamingly obviously fake, and have no impact at all.

On which site is it? Different ones have different policies about dealing with them. Some allow you to comment, some don't etc.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

If the review isn't on AW, you will notice your hits going UP, and you'll get more enquiries. But that's only from the guys who actually read the review sites, generally the majority of men don't join or read them and will book 'blind', as in they will just look at the pretty pics and find the phone number.

I've had a red mark on my adultwork. Effects it until you shove it down with positives. Men will use their best judgement if the feedback sounds crazy

Some sites allow you to do a rebuttal such as punternet and adult work and one other, can't remember the name of it though. Other sites you would be best advised NOT to respond too as it only makes things worse.

The other poster is right though, even with a bad review men will look to see what you look like and if they like you they will book you anyway, plus, if  you have good reviews they will then find those reviews too.

Most nice clients can read through bs. Any mention of your name, good or bad will bring traffic to you.

Unless something is 100% positive, some jump to make a negetive.

BUT not to say it isn't an opportunity to think, ok am I warm enough, do I look like my photos, do I rush things, do I pad out the booking with enough sexual engagement< . If you can honestly say you feel you provide a good service then it's just a matter of his opinion and he was probabley looking for a porn star type rather than a vanilla type, which does tend to be the main culprit of negetive reveiws I've seen. I will never begin to understand how different peoples opinions can be. What can help is googling an escort you admire then no doubt there will be a negetive if they're popular. Take a look at all your lovley feedbacks, i'm sure you have some on the forum too. It hurts for sure but take solice in the idea that it's your work personna and not you.

I could probabley turn around and give myself a bad reveiw for a few one off bookings where we didn't vibe or I wasn't on form. You are human, chill, i'm sure your service is on par 99% of the time :)

There are folk who start stuttering and think i'm beautiful and their are guys who think i'm butt ugly. Each to their own, it's a concept that needs to be grasped in this line of work or in general really. Don't let it get you down. Feeling down about your services = less money and hey, success is the biggest fuck you. ;)

Tbh I don't think most guys read these. Last few areas I've worked in I have mentioned them while chatting and most guys don't even know they exist or don't read them.
Personally after reading good and bad about my self, my looks and my home I've decided I don't want anyone who takes notice of such obnoxious sites. Just f em!

I wouldn't worry about it affecting you professionally if anything it will just get your name out there and bring in a little extra traffic to your site/profile/gallery. Some of the busier escorts in my previous area were hated on the forums for years and remained successful. Don't let it get under your skin and as above said do not respond, let the review slowly fall down the boards till its forgotten by all. Some people just like to moan so don't let the negative people hiding behind their keyboards dent your confidence.

Ignore it. Unless you are certain that you can make a VERY good rebuttal (and that's hard to do) then leave it. Let me put it this way: the most widely-read review forum in the UK is still only read by a tiny minority of punters. I've been slated on it and I'm very busy.

I wouldn't bother replying, it tends to only make things worse. Particularly if you appear more intelligent than the client who posted the review; they really hate that.

Like Sassy Slapper said; consider the service you offer and decide if you can improve in any way.

I got a negative review a while back when I first started and some of the things the client wrote was complete and utter lies, even tried to make stabs at my personal circumstances despite me never mentioning anything through out the booking. (I never do, my stuff is my stuff).[off topic content redacted]

Oh and also, my business levels didn't drop even though I had a negative review.

Since we haven't mentioned it for a week or so, I'll remind everybody again that discussion of punting forums and their members is off topic here for a variety of reasons which have been pointed out ad infinitum and should be obvious even if they hadn't.

Stick to reviews and keep it general please, or we'll just remove the posts altogether.
