no because  when i call i will say can you leave a message for my sister please as i cant get through to her on her phone her battery is dead ect
Hotels are used to getting messages and i find it work well because you don't get the nosey receptionist wanting to know why you are visiting ect   they all ready know because of the message
Some hotels are dreadfully nosey

Don't you think that draws attention to yourself Paris? As in, the hotel staff have to seek you out to pass on the message and maybe wondering why your family member didn't just call your mobile..

I would be more nervous to come up with some elaborate plan than just getting on with things.

I hate getting any attention in hotels, I used to check in looking very plain, no make up and wearing glasses but I do outcalls too so staff will see me head out all made up at some point anyway so I stopped that after I got a few 'oh you look different' glances from the male staff members ha  The wonder of hair and make up
