Backpage advice
« on: 08 July 2017, 06:11:22 pm »
I have an ad up on Backpage but I want to edit to and am just looking for advice on how to do so

Currently my ad all jumbles into one paragraph and I am unsure how to format it to individual lines. I have tried double and treble spacing, I have tried page break, I have tried insert pause, lol what am I doing wrong

Any suggestions please, I have emailed BP but I don't expect an answer anytime soon

Thanks as always

Nat

Are you working on a laptop, tablet or phone? If phone, what OS and browser?

In that case I'd type out your advert into Notepad in plain text, then copy that into the Backpage interface. Forgo all hopes of formatted text - it really doesn't matter IME with backpage/cracker.

I think you can use <br> to add a break (return) IIRC?

Go onto cracker.com and buy credits with your credit or debit card, then use those to pay for the ad.

I wouldn't reccomend using credit/debit card with Backpage, my credit card was emptied and bank sccount hacked because of it. Thank god the fraud department at my bank saw this and my money was reinboursed. If I were you guys I would use bitcoin, Neosurf or Litecoin. Do not give your bank details to backpage, it's not secure.

Use a pre-paid credit card. At least if it gets emptied you've only lost X amount you loaded on it. I do not feel Bitcoin is secure and using it securely i.e. loading cash at a paypoint is a massive PITA!

I personally find Bitcoin secure(ish). I never buy bitcoin online (do you want to give your card details to some Bulgarian hacker? No). I always go to my local bitcoin ATM, drop the cash, get the bitcoin in my virtual wallet right away into my iphone (I personally reccomend Blockchain wallets, not the ones that Backpage reccomend) Then buy the ad. It's all done anonimously and no personal details of any sort are exchanged. The problem I find with Bitcoin (hence the reason I don't use it anymore) is the ridiculous fluctuation. One day 1 Bitcoin in 800 pounds, next week one bitcoin is 1,500. When the Bitcoin is too high you end up paying a massive amount for your advertising and it's so not worth it.
